Need help in buying domain name..plz take a look  |

 I am thinking of buying domain for my website (2nd version) of my old website vastdown.co.nr and since i noticed that subdomain website did not get much attention and respect i am thinking of buying a domain . I am thinking of buying domain from godaddy.com
The price list of godaddy are as follow
domain.us $4.99 SALE! SPECIAL!
domain.info $0.89* BEST VALUE!
* Plus ICANN fee of 18 cents per domain name year. Certain TLD's only..CO.UK require 2 yr minimum registration
So i am thinking of buying .us or .info domain .
Is there any cheap domain registar than godaddy.com??
and is there any hidden cost on them + what are their renewal charge? I heard .info have high renewal charge

godaddy.com, namecheap.com, name.com
Now let me explain lil bit about the price:
godaddy, has better price regarding .info; but u should know that godaddy will charge extra for whois protection's feature (with this, whenever some1 want to check who own the domain they will not see the registrant).
namecheap.com and name.com will give u better price for .us and .com or others. Name.com infact give u around $5 for .us (but with no extra feature)
And both of this website won't charge u more for private id, it is included in the price already. Even better for name.com, u r also gonna get free google apps, without no extra charge.
To get more cheaper price, u should get a coupon. If u use coupon from godaddy, .com will worth some what like $6-$7 only. With name.com lil bit higher (since the coupon only deduct $1 from original price, but with free extra feature that u wont find in godaddy).
To get the latest coupon, there is this website that u need to visit contain the list of many coupons for domain for various services. Since we r not allowed to paste the link, u can visit it in my blog (by go to my profile) and check under menu "domain" there.

name.com seems to be more cheaper than godaddy and free whois protection..
I have read in other forum that most of registart charge low at first and increase price during renewal time.. so i have not taken any actions.
.co.cc domain is free for 1 year only, later u have to pay 3$ per year. | |

| master101 (154) | 4 months ago | Well, if you are so worry about getting higher price the next day, why dont u buy for 2 or more years in 1st instant. That way u know u only pay the same price for all years.
Now u should know that there is very big different between free domain (with control DNS) and TLD (top level domain).
Ofcourse u can always choose the free one. But as we know, it dont really prestige in away.
Other than .co.cc there are also .uni.cc and eu.pn (all three are not redirect url, it is free domain with complete DNS so you can set it up as the main domain in your hosting service) | |

 mysf71 (538) | 4 months ago |  I had my domain name registered from www.co.cc. . It works fine with my free website host freehostia.com. You're right, co.cc is free for a year. But I heard that co.cc domain names can also be renewed for another year for free (and so on for 3rd year, 4th...).
Why don't you register with co.cc for now and when you really find a good domain registration option (features+price) - simply transfer the domain...
