Do you like to work or like to play?  |

 Ok not as simple as the title, but are you the kind of person that feels they need to work in order to be happy? Or are you the type to to make money when its needed but avoid it at all cost?
My father is self employed and worked all his life, often working 7 days a week because he chooses to. For a few months he had a spout of unemployment and he didnt enjoy having no work.
On the other hand i am very different. I dont enjoy working. Not because i am lazy but because being free and having adventuring is more important to me. I will work when i need to but usually to fund my adventures.
What about you? Do you need to work for your own mental health? Or only work because you have to?

1.  roniroxas (5937) | 4 months ago |  i am a single mom of four children so i need to work to give food on the table and to pay the bills. lucky you for not having children and still single so you can still live the kind of life you wanted to live. but lucky me also for my work is not a boring one that i have to sacrifice just to earn. i am a singer and i am really happy with my work. it is like working and playing join in one. though this kind of work has an age braket i know son i can no longer work as a singer but i still enkoy it while it last.

I agree im glad im still able to have my freedom. I dont plan to have any children for a while. I no one day i will have to work but for now im enjoying being free.

But I am not workoholic...I like spent time with my family during weekends...but doing no wrk and sitting idle is alos not possible...In short, I like to earn for the family and spent valuable time with them. I want to balance both.. | |

| Pixrawr (190) | 4 months ago | I know plenty of people, including myself who feel the same way.. you really want to go out and enjoy yourself but you feel too guilty to spend the money because you know it could go into your savings for what you need. Dont worry about the odd splash, it makes you feel abit more free in the end, and as long as your not going out every weekend spending all your cash. Theres no harm in it:)

| 6. metamaterialo (29) | 4 months ago |  I think working should be made as enjoyable as possible by the employer. i mean the right person should work in right place, but it isn't always possible to enjoy work, and some people cant get a job at all, not even the one they would not enjoy. so yeah i do enjoy working, in a way i have to, because having one is a joy itself these days. this is just something we have to do if we want to enjoy playing after wards.

But yes its better when you can enjoy your job. I think if employers and employees learned to respect each other and the jobs more i think many people would be alot happier, but alas that will never happen.
