Vegas Baby!!!!!  | |  I was very fortunate, in the fall of 1999, to get the chance to visit Las Vegas. It was an interesing city by day, but became more interesting by night. All lit up in it's glory, I was in awe. This was my first visit, and it didn't occur to me how someone could be so enamored being a tourist. I have only seen it in movies, and on tv. To actually step out of a car, and experience it firsthand for myself, could never be described. Oh sure, it was once owned by the mafia, but it still held a special place in my heart. My fiancee and future mother in law were there to visit their relatives. We went to the Coca Cola and M&M museum, also the casino, and did some shopping as well. There were so many things to see, but we were on a time limit, and we had to get back to Idaho to prepare for a wedding. I guess you could say it was a pre-marital honeymoon for the two of us. Have you ever had the chance to go? What was your favorite place? Unfortunately, I didn't get to check out any of the shows. That's okay, there are always other chances.

I just love it there. My favorite place is Bellagio, I've stayed there and it's amazing, but I also love the fountains and would have to say that's my favorite part of Vegas. I also did the Eiffel Tower on July 4th last year and got to see the fireworks from up there, it was pretty neat. Beat the BBQ's I usually attend in someone's backyard anyways!!:) I've stayed at Luxor, which is really cool cause I've always had a thing for Egypt, and I stayed in the actual pyramid and not the Luxor Towers. When I stayed at Luxor, I saw Fantasy, which is a topless adult show that I believe is still playing out there. I wanted to see Zumanity, the Cirque du Soleil show they do in Vegas, but never made it there.
Hanging out by the pool at Ceaser's is pretty neat, especially during the week when there aren't as many people around. And I've done "old Vegas", too, with the Golden Nugget and Circus Circus and all that, which is also really cool. My favorite thing is just to walk the strip at night and see what's going on. I mean, come on. . . . it's Vegas.:)

I used to fly out there every/other week and spend a long weekend, cause I was dating a guy that lived out there, and even going there twice a month for six or seven months, there was stuff I wanted to do and just never got a chance. Oh, well, I'll get back there someday, and I'm sure it will be just as great as it was every other time.

 Crestview (230) | 2 months ago |  Vegas will always be a little different every time you go back, but something never change. some of the shows have been there for 20-30 years. I saw Jublilee many years ago and it's still there, they may move from one hotel to another. "O' will be at Bellagio for years to come, so if you didn't see it this trip, you can always see it the next time around.

I happened to be passing one day and stopped to say Hi to find out they were just back from a trip to Las Vegas. They were so excited and had a great time. I got invited in to look at a video and some of the souvenirs they brought back. It was great to have the running commentary and explanation of things while we watched. A lot of the video was in their hotel room which made it all seem so real.
My bosses won a trip to America as well and they visited Las vegas too. It all sounds fascinating if you like that sort of thing.
