How do you feel about co sleeping?

I don't ever do co-sleeping because of the danger of cot death. Sadly that happens to some babies and nobody knows why in most cases. The safest place for a baby of 0 to 6 months to sleep is in a moses basket, crib or cot in his or her parent's bedroom. My baby is six weeks old and at night she sleeps in a moses basket in my bedroom.

My sister had four children and she has done co-sleeping with all of them. They are healthy and happy children. Her youngest is now 3 years old so she sleeps in her own bed. She has found it easier to care for her babies that way. When older she moved each one to their own bedroom.

i co-slept with all 3 of my kids....my youngest still sleeps with me...if you look up the benefits of co-sleeping there are many benefits than risks....it actually helps reduce the risk of sids as well. when my kids get older they're not gonna wanna lay or cuddle wit their mama so i gotta get it while i can and cherish it....i think it helps keep us close as well. co-sleeping was the norm many many years ago before cribs were invented so i don't see why some consider it "not normal" anymore! i do realize it's not for everyone...but it is for me n hubby we definitely don't mind it! were just gonna enjoy it while it lasts!

I think cosleeping is a lot more common than people will admit to as well. I think we all say we won't do it, but when it is 3:00 in the morning and the baby is not sleeping, well, things change. I had a co-sleeper attachment for my bed. It was great! It hooked onto my mattress and was like a bassinet for the baby but still right next to me. I felt safe with that option, yet I didn't have to get completely out of bed every time the baby needed me.

I have a 13 year old and a 3 year old. I made the mistake to let the13 year old sleep with me. Then she got a bit older and i started dating and it was very hard to explain to her she could not sleep with mommy any more. She was crushed. Now my 3 year old I promised my self I wouldn't do the same. But about a year or so he was very sick and i wanted to keep a good eye on him. So my husband and I kept in our bed. It lasted for about a week. He started to feel better,and we tucked him in his own bed at night. But he would just get out in the middle of the night. And now it hasn't stopped.Once in a while my husband and i get some privacy.

hi when my first baby was born we slept on the same room because we are the only ones in the house.it was for six years till my daughter arrived. i co sleep with my daughter my firstborn,a son moved to the next room but he would stay an hour w/ us playing w/ his sister before finally retiring to his bed. after two months,my daughter fell from bed,(she did not get hurt,she landed on a pillow which fell ahead), i had to buy a crib and from then on, she slept there. when my husband was permanently home w/ us,we slept in our room, the siblings sleeps in the next room together.
