Now Obama is Confirming/Backing up His Famous Quote!

Do you remember the quote from his book Audacity of Hope: I will stand with the Muslims should the winds shift in an ugly direction. We have already seen evidence of Obama's anti-Israel pro-Islam feelings. IMO his new actions confirm who he is standing with. Your comments? The Republican Jewish Coalition has issued a statement criticizing President Barack Obama's decision to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson. Robinson, president of Ireland from 1990 to 1997, served as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and was secretary-general of the 2001 World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa. "Mary Robinson, who was one of the people responsible for the 2001 Durban conference against racism descending into an anti-Israel propaganda forum, is not an appropriate recipient for one of our nation's highest honors," said Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) Executive Director Matt Brooks in the statement. "In fact, awarding the Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson does great dishonor to the many outstanding men and women who have received it in the past." The U.S. withdrew from the Durban conference in protest of its staunchly anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic declarations. Secretary of State Colin Powell said at the time: "I know that you do not combat racism by conferences that produce declarations containing hateful language, some of which is a throwback to the days of 'Zionism equals racism'; or supports the idea that we have made too much of the Holocaust; or suggests that apartheid exists in Israel; or that singles out only one country in the world, Israel, for censure and abuse." Brooks said, "We're troubled that the White House chooses to minimize the very real controversy about Mary Robinson. It's wrong for the United States to honor someone who led a meeting that our nation boycotted. "She had the opportunity to fight for good — by resisting the effort to turn the Durban conference into a swamp of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda. She not only failed to resist it, she facilitated it. That President Obama wishes to honor Mary Robinson in this way is profoundly disturbing." http://www.sodahead.com/blog/127583/obama-picks-woman-who-condoned-suicide-bombings-for-medal/

I have enough faith in the American people to know that in all probability (and unless Obama completely trashes the Constitution and proclaims himself emperor/king/dictator for life, take your pick), we are going to vote this hateful man out of office (and his little dogs Pelosi and Reid, too!) come 2012. Americans aren't going to take being insulted the way Obama's been insulting us for very long, believe me. We're smarter than this arrogant pinhead gives us credit for being.

From your mouth to God's ears. I hope that before 2012 something is done but if not surely by 2012 all his adoring fans will have learned something.

I have to consider this as just further evidence that he intends to take his own direction regardless of those whom he has been elected to represent. He has a vast ego and it seems he does not want to temper his actions at all. We obviously have elected a renegade into the White House and I pray he does not destroy everything this country has stood for over the past centuries. It is quite evident that our Constitution and Bill of Rights are more or less meaningless and it saddens me greatly that everything our ancestors fought for is being tossed out into the trash. God help us all because Obama sure isn't going to help us.

I think that the USA should remain neutral between the two sides, helping where one can help, and staying away from taking sides. In the case of the Muslims and the Jews, this is one dangerous conflict for a country to take sides, it always has been, and it always will be.

However Obama is not remaining neutral he is going out of his way to single out one person to receive a reward for being anti-Israel. Just as he went our of his way to show his racial prejudice in the cop and the professor issue. IMO Obama feels so secure and arrogant he does not care what some people think of him.

Unfortunately, I think this is the changing of the tide. America will no longer support Israel. The gov't has already turned it's back and is probably going to actively work to erase our former ally. And all the young people just don't give a crap about Israel anymore. Why do liberals hate Israel so much?
