What does stars in mylot means?  |

 Hello mylotters! I just want to ask these questions: What do stars in mylot mean?
The color of each stars? What does it means?
The other day i've got a white star with #7, yesterday i've got pink star with #6, this day i've got again the white star with # 7. Anybody here would like to explain to me? Thanks mylotters!

Stars on MyLot mean your reputation. Every comment you make can be rated by others and your total rating is calculated. For example if you have a low star you have been bad with people and if you have a higher star you were nice with people. You can rate comments with the Plus and Minos sign next to them. Cheers!

| 6. nrtan2000 (1027) | 5 months ago |  It actually is you star rating, it tells you what is you current rating here in mylot. The more (-) ratings you get from other members the lower your star rating is and the more (+) rating you get the higher your star rating will be. I actually got an 8 rating the first time i got my star that was when i reached my 100th post. It actually stayed at 8 for sometime before i got a 9 rating.. Just have fun and keep on posting, you star rating would just increase in time. Im just not sure if if our star rating also affects our earnings here but i still want to have a high star rating here. I just like the way it looks. hehe

vandana7 you can always give a positive or negative rating to a comment or a response or a discussion by clicking on the '+' or '-' sign at the right side of every comment, response or discussion. Do this after you read it. If you think it was a good contribution to the discussion in particular and site in general then go ahead and give it a positive rating. If you feel the comment was not upto the mark of expectation of discussion or if it has some things which are banned according to mylot rules then give it a negative rating. If its extremely negative then click on '!' its for reporting abuse.
By above explaination, I didnot mean that you should give the ratings defined on above parameters. You should chalk out your own set parameters against which you can judge whether to give a positive or negative rating. And atleast give the rating to every discussion you read or have commented on. If we all take pains to rate each other's replies and discussions then it would help us in making our discussions nice and worth having. Hope that answers your question satisfactorily. | |
