destroy the Earth, or life as we know it? There is a BIG difference - the ONLY thing that will destroy the EARTH is a nova but life as we know it - who knows - an asteroid sure wouldn't do us much good, but SWINE FLU??? not likely

If there is something that will destroy the Earth and life on it, it will be something that we, ourselves, caused - climate change and its effects.

We have seen huge difference in our climate throughout time. We have been so careless and we have overlooked the welfare of the earth that we are living in, despite of the calls of the educated minority.

I think we are on that situation wherein it is already too late. That the only thing that we can do is to minimize the scorching impact of climate change. Who knows, probably a mix of different and connected nature-related incidents will bring the human race down. This will happen slowly but surely. This is tougher than having a asteriod hit the planet.

I hope things will get better soon. Hopefully.

I'm thinking nuclear bomb. Every powerful country seems to have a few these days and we already seen those bombs destroy cities.

I reckon mother nature itself will most likely destroy the world if we end up destroying her. Even though she is capable of recovering from it and regrowth, but i dunno, i think she will just turn her back on us and never come back. then again, it is us who is destroying the world, man kind, and a lot of this man made stuff. No offence to anyone, but if we are to look after our world, like we look after ourselves we are to look after what has been looking after us since day 1.

I pick none of the above. the world will be destroyed by the people living on it

some sick person with no life. there are millions of them on earth, and one will probably lead the way to destruction.
