Honor guards In Cory Aquino's funeral are recognized.

In my opinion they are just doing their job and its not something really new to soldiers. I think that the media is over reacting to their "stunt." But there are guards in the UK who stand there for hours without any change in facial expression. And they do that everyday. So the recognition part is good, and it will always be good to patronize a soldier. But besides that point, soldiers everywhere in the world are doing that everyday. Nothing really surprising here.

Of course they deserve some recognition for their efforts. I just hope that our government will show as much concern over the soldiers who get injured or die while defending democracy and our country in battle. I wonder, if the soldiers who sacrifice their lives in Mindanao are appropriately rewarded too?

They should be given honors since their job during the parade wasn't a joke. I know they've been trade for toughness but seeing those four, standing right beside that coffin of our dear former president even though it's raining hard and doing it for more than 5 hours, that's tough. they deserve it.

They deserve all the recognitions that they are having right now. They made a big sacrifice during the funeral cortege for our late president Cory Aquino. It's so amazing how they were able to stand motionless for 9 hours under changing weather that day. They should be a role model to others soldiers and policemen here in our country.
