When you were pregnant did you find out the sex of your child or children? Or did you just leave it as a suprise for when they were born?
I chose to find out the sex of my daughter at 16 weeks which i had to pay privatley for because it was so early. I mainly did that because i was so excited and i didnt want to wait to find out. Also because it allowed up to plan and shop ahead so we could get all of her stuff ready.
I think with my next child i am going to leave it as a suprise and wait until they are born.

I really want to try and do that with my next one.

6. rosepedal64 (1467) | 5 months ago | Do you know how long,it has been since I had a child? My youngest living child is 27yrs old. I have grandkids now. When I was pregnant with my boys they didn't do ultrsounds like they do today. They only did them when they felt there might be a problem. I did get pregnant in 2001 and they did do an ultrasound and yes we wanted to know if it was a boy or girl. Unfortunely he was still born at birth. We wanted to know so that we could start looking for that special name, special outfits, and of course the decorations of baby's room. Thanks for the memories of all the excitement that went with that of knowing what we was having.

7. jessi0887 (2506) | 5 months ago | I chose to find out. I wanted to be prepared ahead of time. I know they have neutral colors but I wanted certain things that may only be used for a boy/girl and I couldn't choose unless I knew the gender. Plus made name choosing easier as well.

8. ravinskye (6204) | 5 months ago | With our first one we decided to let it be a surprise. I kind of wanted to know so that I could buy pink or blue instead of yellow and green. But everyone insisted it should be a surprise so that is how we did it. I always said I wanted boys but I found myself hoping it was a girl. It was! Then our second one we wanted to know but they couldn't tell what I was having on the ultrasound. Our area doesn't have the new 4D ultrasound machines where you can see the babies face. So we had no choice but to be surprised but they thought it was a girl possibly. It was. So we ended up pregnant one more time and we wanted to know again. This time they were able to tell us we were finally getting a boy!

I got pregnant again and then I was able to get a gender scan which said I would have a boy. They were right. Now I had a scan with the fetal medicine expert and he said girl the third time around. He was right. So I found out twice at 16 weeks pregnancy.

10. dorannmwin (2210) | 5 months ago | Yes, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I did find out what I was having. I was nearly 20 weeks when I had my first prenatal appointment so I had the big ultrasound right after my first appointment. It felt like it was going to be a short pregnancy and I really wanted to be able to be prepared for her. With my second, I didn't want to know what he was, but he had other plans. As soon as the ultrasound tech turned on the machine, it was all hanging out. She quick turned off the machine and asked if I wanted to know what he was. It was too late at that point, I'd already seen.
