|  Personally,I love the movies,the originals more than the prequels,and SpikeTV shows the Original trilogy simply because it never fails to garner great ratings.
The first of the saga I saw was Return Of The Jedi,which to some would be a point of futility because it's the LAST movie,but it introduced me to a whole new world,one I have been a fan of since,The Star Wars Universe.
People will bash and try to ruin it for me by bad-mouthing the puppetry or the stiff acting.I DON'T CARE,the movies bring so much imagination to life.
There are fans and then there are fanboys.....I'm of the first group,Im a fan but I'm not a rabid fanatic,I don't study every aspect of the the film,I just enjoy the films,because they are pure escapism.I don't take it that seriously because I know its just a series of movies,and great ones at that.
Family Guy's 'Blue Harvest' kind o kicked the franchise in the nuts by making Obi-Wan to be played by the neighborhoo pervert,Herbert,but other than that it was still an enjoyable homage to Lucas.
And I loved Robot Chicken's Star Wars Specials.I can watch them over and over again LOL
I will never stop being a fan,and I can watch the movies again and again and again......I love them.

| |  Neither really. I like the films but I'm not obsessive. My partner loves them. When our kids are a little older we will let them watch them but at the moment they are both too young to really understand or appreciate the films. They're still learning about films from titles like The Dark Crystal and Monster House lol

| |  I love the Star Wars movies too, and like you, prefer the originals. They are pure entertainment and escapism, with some nice bits of humour as well. It is very rare that I can watch the same film twice without getting bored, but I have watched all the Star Wars films several times and still really enjoyed them.

| |  I love the original star wars trilogy. I am not a die hard fan too but I love the whole story and all that space stuff. Really interesting. I grew up on star wars and I can still watch then till today which makes then am absolute classic. Unlike movies today which are so boring that I don't watch modern movies that much these days.

| |  I liked the movies definately and I watched the prequels first and then originals, I mean the way the story is actually told.I liked the movies but not much.I have watched them once and liked all the films but am not planning on a second viewing which I do with most films.The originals were no doubt remarkably portrayed. To make films like those in the 80s is quite an achivement, no doubt they top the IMDB top 250 movies.

| |  I personally like the movies, especially the original ones, I think they are a great source of entertainment. I love them, but not to the point when I'm obsessed with the Star Wars movies, as I know some people are. I also do not get why people hate Star Wars so much, it's a great series of movies.

| |  For me I loved the originals Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, not just because they were a huge part of my childhood but because they are well made movies considering the era they were made. I liked the prequels but they lacked the magic of the originals and came over as a little commercial in places for my liking.
As for all the other off shoots such as Robot Chicken I really don't like them they ruin all the magic of the originals for me.
