| |  i generally play in default mode. i think it is a type of filter mode selection meant to correct any errors in video streaming (grainy / choppy image). i am not really sure. i mostly use blazedvd player. and find it's performance better than vlc. aso sometimes use nero (oem).

| | well i searched the web and found the diferences between them, if you use vlc to play dvd's you should go to video and switch the deinterlace settings to bob or linear. vlc player is great

| |  I never tried deinterlacing but u may try media classic player and total video converter. :) For viewing purpose i prefer MCP than vlc. For video conversion i always use TVC.
