pda or cell phone?

I am not sure if it will sell or not. It seems that when one has a blackberry, one has to have a certain type of service, like personal plan and one can't have a family plan, I know this based on a friend wanting a blackberry and she couldn't cause she did not have a personal plan with unlimited minutes, date and texting (text, picture and video).
I believe her company sprint has those at 100 but for one phone it was not what she was looking for.

I think before you decide to sell off your PDA and switch over to a cellphone, you should consider if you could appreciate or be comfortable with the smaller display screen of a cellphone. I find this to be the dominating fact for PDA users to switch.

Also, there are some relatively useful functionality of a PDA that are absent in most of the average cellphones in the market i.e. WiFi. which is one of the very useful and much needed functions.

I can understand the concern of lugging a bulky piece of communication equipment just to make a call but I feel this can be easily overcome with a useful accessory called a bluetooth headset where you can pick up or make a call without any hassle. Besides, it is also a much cheaper than a new cellphone and still be able to maintain quality communication.

So, I feel you should consider the above concerns before the switch and hope that you will be able to decide from there.
