Funniest Typos

Haha, I am awful about checking over my typing, and I often times have many typos. (I am excellent at grammar and spelling, and would catch nearly all of my mistakes but i rarely prrofread. And I look at my hands when I type. **Blushes**) But sometimes we end up making funny mistakes while typing! I know I can reread some of my stuff and get a good chuckle. Just a little bit ago I commented on a topic here and typed "dark oink" instead of dark pink. I have often times written "message me back and we'll lick it" instead of kick it. Oops...that can send quite a bad message huh? LOL Do you have any funny ones to share?

I can't think of any stupid typos I've made at the moment, haha. But the meaning of what you're trying to say totally changes just if one letter is altered, it's pretty funny. :P

Yes, typo can create some very funny words and make a meaning to a sentence change completely. I have had some people recap my typo when writing back to me, and making a joke of it. I am guilty too often of them, and I am trying to proofread more, but I still blaze right over it at times.

Haha, those are some funny typos. :-D I can't say that I've had any real bad ones, but that's probably because I'm a fairly good typist and tend to proofread. Skill picked up from my time as an office assistant for a real estate settlement company...we had to proofread everything! Typing has always come naturally since I took a keyboarding class in high school. I can even watch TV and type now at the same time without having to look at my hands at all. If any of you want to brush up on your typing skills, I would suggest the "Jumpstart Typing" program for your computer. Yes, it is a children's game, but you get really good at typing! :) In the meantime, we'll all keep enjoying each other's funny typos. I can guarantee I'll be in a rush one day and make my own typo...feel free to laugh at me when I do. Have a great day everyone! :-D

ha! That's funny. I make mistakes often when people are talking to me when I'm typing. I will type what they are saying rather than what I really wanted to say. I once told a lady that she needed to clean her room when we were talking about washing dishes or doing laundry. She laughed. Thank goodness. I was embarrassed. Oooops ha! :-)

I think people just overlook typos anymore because what is the point of brining them to anyone's attention? It surely proves that we are all in a hurry though doesn't it?

So funny you said that-I have a story for you. I had spilled something on an old keyboard years ago and turned it upside down for it to dry and hoped for the best that the keyboard would still work. To my surprise, every key worked--all but the backspace button. I thought, well, this is going to be a huge pain in the neck, but at least every other key still work. Now, type without the luxury of the "magic eraser." LOL I tossed that stupid keyboard in about 3 days because I could not stand to make those mistakes and not have the option to fix it, even if I normally don't take the time to fix them. LOL

Hi princess, no funny typos, come to mind, but I continually hit the 'Y' key instead of the 'T'. Doesn't create any humor though.

hi princess I once got a typo clear past eveything and into a response to a mylot friend. I typed an h insteAd of an r 'and it of course read hate so I hAd I hate your discussion number one instead of a compliment I rate your discussion number one in my books. needless to say the person messaged me wanting to know how I could be so Abusive and I hurriedly made a comment 'explaining my horrible typo And messaged her back saying of 'course I dont hate your discussion I rate it number one.we then shAred some internet lAughs and I was forgiven, embarrassed but'forgiven so I try to catch my errors now for sure.

Wow-that wasn't cool! Thank goodness she was a person that asked and wanted to know what was going on. Some people would have been really angry! I can see why proofreading to you is so important.

No, I can't think of any funny ones I've typed but several times I thought I typed a letter and it turns out I didn't. I guess I get to typing too fast or something. I don't know. I probably just barely touched it. That's why it didn't get on the page. Anyway, I always proofread before I post it to make sure there are no typos. I don't mean to brag but I was always good in spelling and grammar, too. Kathy.

Missing a letter can even make a new word that would not make sense-and I do that often too. I don't check mine too often, although when rereading my posts here on Mylot, I am making a little more effort to proofread, especially because I know I am very prone to creating typos. I get in a hurry to post sometimes-and it shows. LOL
