My nefue leaves for Iraq  | |  My nefue leaves for Iraq soon. I am very sad I will miss him. He is leaving for one whole year. I am worried sick something is going to happen to him there. I want him to come home safely as possible with no scratches. My mom is so upset she can't hep but cry about what is going to happen. I know this is not an easy thing and people join the army knowing there us a possibility that they could go to war. I know someone has to protect our country. Most people go in the army to pay for collage. Sometime I wounder if it worth your life. I support the troops and their decisions. I hope anyone who has to go through a child or family member going over there they have some kind of family and friend support. Good luck too all the troops and come home safely!

one of my dear friends just arrived in Iraq last week
this is his 3rd tour over there!!!
hopefully it will be his last
it is heart wrenching and nerve wracking
you wait by the phone/mailbox/computer for days just to find out if they are ok or not
everytime the doorbell rings you pray that its not the Army chaplain or other family member giving the dreaded news
your nepwhew will be in my thoughts and prayers just as is my friend and all other soldiers over there
may they all come home soon and safe

Just about all U.S. troops are now no longer in the active roll in most Iraq cities and towns and are more on a back up and training roll. Violence is down dramaticly too.
I wish your nephew safety and success. Please pass on my gratitude for his service to both him and his family.
