What do you think if you see a guy carrying his girlfriend's bag?  

yeah it's sweet and thoughtful.. but i think, I would rather choose to give my books or something like that rather than my handbag LOL..

People have different opinions. For me, if I see a guy carrying his girlfriend's bag, that's good - and let's hope he continues doing it after getting married .

I think that it is nice...at times. Some times, I wonder, though, if he isn't doing it as a form of control. Now, if I ask my husband to please get me my purse, he will generally do it, but I rarely ask him to hold on to it for me, I only ask if I really need him to. I think that if he is holding it simply to be kind, it is nice, but if he constantly thinks he has to hold on to it, ther emay be a control issue.

Expecting your boyfriend to hold your bag i see from his side a little as an insult, they are affraid of getting judged by other men for something they are not. This is the reason i rarely ask my boyfriend for holding my bag, but he would certainly do so if i asked him too, he watches out for it in the supermarket if i have to go fetch something real fast and it would seem a waste to drag the cart with me.

this reminds me of that commercial that i have watch on T.V. his girlfriend was buying stuff in the market and she handed her bag to him. and then, the guys parent's was there and saw him with the bag, then the guy said some thing like, Mom, "It's a Hand Carry" . but the idea of helping your partner hold her bag is actually nice and sweet. some guys are too sensitive and ego-centric

It is absolutely sweet, I do that too but my partner was the one who recognized that it was not right to ask me to carry her handbag so she always asked to have it back after a temporary holding because she has to try on the new pair of shoes etc. It is not us who refuses or not to refuse to hold the bag but it is the lady who knows what if we should carry one.

the thought of it may be sweet to some, but not a good idea, carry your own purse, you wore it for a reason whether it was cuz it mathed ur outfit or it carries all of your neccessities or something, men have their pockets, not cool at all. Maybe if i was tying my shoe, or on crutches or something then i would accept it but otherwise leave the handbag carrying to us women, its cuter on us.

Hello nrtan2000. I find it sweet too. Yes, they're are guys that dont like to carry girl's bags. They find it girly. They dont find it manly carrying a girl's bag.

I think I'd so love that guy who carries my bag for me. In fact, I love him so much I married him!

He told me that he does not mind what other people think of him if they see him carrying my bag for me. What is important for him is that he is able to help me when he knows that my bag is a bit heavy and after I have been carrying it for a bit too long. Now, isn't that sweet?!
