This question is for laptop users  | | Do you use a laptop connect card, or other service devices to plug in to the net what service device is best for laptop internet services?

| | | | | | | | 1. virusxtreme24 (715) | 4 months ago | No, I do not use any of the laptop connect cards that plug into an ExpressCard or USB slot as I believe the services are slow and always with a cap which limits how much I can browse and download. They charge over $60 a month for this kind of service, which I believe is a ripoff. I just use Wi-Fi when I go somewhere.

I am using USB EVDO connection. Its a new type of Internet Service which provides upto 2.4Mbps speed and I am getting around 200+ KBps maximum. Since it is a wireless connection, the download speed varies usually. It requires 3G connection for a stable wireless connection.

When I was installing netgear for my home network wireless router the guy who helped install it used his connect card to get my network going.All my laptops are connected to my hotspot.My desktop is my main computer.When I travel I take one of my laptop and most motel have free internet to connect to luckily.
