What do you hate most about public BUSES?

I live in the South West of England. My local bus service is really terrible. Only a few of its buses are buggy friendly. I have a disabled son of 2 years old and a baby girl. I can go on a number 7 and it is usually buggy friendly. The other buses are normally not suitable for me. One of them has steps and a pole down the middle so that makes getting on with a folded buggy really challenging indeed. I used to be fine with my toddler but as he can't stand it would be impossible for me to hold both my kids whilst I fold up their buggy. The fares are expensive. I went three miles and the cost was six pounds. A day pass is almost always the best way to go at six pounds and seventy pence. Some of the drivers go too fast and there have been complaints from passengers. A pregnant lady and an old person were hurt bad enough to go to hospital. I imagine London buses are cheaper than the ones here.

What I don't like in public buses is that it's so crowded, especially at rush hours. It's so hot especially the ordinary buses that are so crowded, people standing like sardines during rush hours. That's why I prefer to ride aircon bus, at least its cool even when full of passengers. I also ride jeepney coz at least i can be assured of a seat. Also what I don't like is the loud sound of music in jeepneys and buses or video playing in buses.

Here in my country, local bus are very terrible! They produce thick smoke from its muffler and it's dirty. People throw away everything in bus floor, dirty tissue, snacks and it will be worst if you use bus with no air conditioner. It's smelly and in busy hour it's very crowded. All sweaty people with all their stuff, and it's not safe! you can lost you watch or wallet if it's crowded and it's common things here. some people with guitar can come in too and they will ask your money. If you refuse, they will angry or give you unfriendly looks.. Thanks God, now there's government bus here, at least there's no people with guitar ask for money and it's much safer..

these buses are much better than ours. If u will come to our place, your eyes would see many such things which u have not seen before. Like if a bus has a place for 30 people then inside there will be 50 and on the top there be a large quantity of people hanging on it.

I used to always travel by bus to places because I didn't have a car, what I hate the most is when the seats are dirty or spotted by some marks, I don't know why people will like to destroy the public things like that... it is so not right and selfish, I tihkn it is very comomon to see people write thing on the seats like I love you or sign their name their... which is stupid and irresponsible...

Well first of all thank you for sharing, that really sucks, the only thing I can honestly say I hate about n.y buses is the crowd, they need more buses, sometimes we are actually standing on each other just to get to our destinations, I usually have my grandson with me, so people will give him a seat not all the time, but most of the time, I don't mind standing as long as I don't have to worry about people pushing my baby,so I say more buses in n.y and I will be happy.

Rise the bus indeed make am offended, in my country of Indonesia especially in Pontianak Area, rise the bus to go to work am waiting very old, not to mention the condition in the dirty bus. In Pontianak the bus in the City is very rare, I do not know why the government does not increase the availability of the bus to carry passenger that increasingly the day improves together with the number of inhabitants. Fluently the bus can certainly reduce people to use the vehicle personally. This clear can reduce pollution of air and the impasse.

The oder, and sometimes they can be really crowded and people are crammed together and some buses dont have seat belts, also most of them are old and have a loud moter sound.

Well, if every london bus us a tour bus, it is surely not doing very well to treat its tourists.

I have been to London many times and got around by bus and underground, and I have to say that, one has to establish a proper approach before getting on London public transportation: they serve to get you to places, and that's it, you won't get more. I know it is London, not Eastern Europe in communist era or third world countries, but sometimes we just have to adopt ourselves to that level of service.

And you will find London bus is NOT that bad.
