Non-UK Residents, have you been to London?  

I'm from Indonesia and I never been at London or UK. what I expecting aboaut London is a great oldiest/medieval modern city with a great complexity of multinational race citizen. If I really have the money, surely I visit London.

I am from india,and i haven't visited London till yet.But one my cousin lives there.So she often mails me pictures of her college ,house and her pictures with her friends.So i have a pretty good idea about London.I hope to go there one day.I have seen it many times in movies also,i really hope it i found it as beautiful as it appears in the movies.

I've never been, but from the few pictures I've seen of London, I know it's a lovely mixture of historic and modern sites. I've also read news reports about crimes and other problems, so in that sense it's like most large cities in the world. I've made a few friends online, so I'd love to visit just to meet them in person and maybe take a tour.

I have been to London a few times. I enjoyed my stay both times. I really liked just walking around the one time I stayed with near Buckingham Palace. I am not a fan of having to ride the Tube to get places. Nothing against the Tube, but the only metro I ever liked in any city is the D.C. one. I also enjoyed seeing the city from the double decker bus tour. It was such a great way to get architecture photos and see more of the city. I also really enjoyed the London Eye.

Hi caragh, I visited London once, which was last September for training from my office. I stayed there for about 5 weeks in an area called Pimlico, I think it's near Chelsea. I like London, the buildings have classic architecture, the houses made by bricks, and I notice if the house has historical value, it is written on the door of whose staying there in past. I like the tube cause it's fast although I don't like it's non AC, which made me sometimes sweating in the tube, especially in the morning when it's jammed with people go to work. I like the bus also, since it's quite on time and very reliable since it's 24 hour service. What I don't like about London is how it is very silent during the night. in my city, usually there's a kiosk that opens in the midnight, while I'm there I found none opened, except if you are in the center of the city, where there's still life in the night. Also, I don't like how the store closed at 6 pm and half day in weekend. It's very difficult to me to buy something since I finished my training at 5 pm and when I get into the store, it's already closed! But I think at least it's better than Paris store cause when I went there on the weekend, everything is completely closed full day! LOL...Wish I could go back to London, but it's so expensive to go there and the living cost + tax also very high :)

I live in London now,i just came here over one month ago and i love it! i ma here because i want to learn English and this is why i have my 4 month academic and business English course here .I love it here,everithing is so great and the people are great and you have everithing you want here!i don`t know if i will be staying here forever but for the next year hat is for sure!
i this dough a litle bit expencive,they say is the most expenscive play on erath! but it does not matter for me i am just happy to be here!
And i think you cand find some gret places here in Lonfon where not everithing is that expencive so ,i thing all you have to do is to find what u are looking for in the right places1

I just came here a week ago from the philippines. im staying in berkshire now.. well ive been to london for just a short time. that's where heathrow is right? elsewhere in london, ive never been. berkshire is too far from london, i think. and the fare is way too high. so im just staying here in berkshire for quite some time till i get some money. anyway, anybody here who is in reading? ^^
