A blog is anything you want it to be. You can advertise or write about anything you want to on a blog. You can make one free at blogspot.com

You earn money with your blog by advertising Google Adsense ads on it and when people click on those ads, you earn money. It is hard to get people to click on them though because we are not to ask people to do so.

A blog or weblog is pretty much like a diary or a journal except that it's published online for everyone to see. You can write about almost everything under the sun in your blog. Nowadays, people make use of their blogs to promote different online programs where they earn money from. I maintain 2 blogs: 1 is for my poetry and articles and the other 1 is for the different money-making programs I benefit from. You can earn money from it by placing ads on your blog. You can sign up for a Google Adsense account so Google Ads can be displayed on your blog and that's one way you can monetize your blog. I don't know if there are other ways to monetize your blog. I'm actually just speaking from my own experience as a blogger.

If your blog is popular you can sell advertising space for people to advertise on your blog. You are not going to make money with a blog unless there is traffic to your blog. So you need to advertise your blog to blog directories.

As far as i have been able to tell a blog is like a newspaper article, it's a short, informative writing about one particular subject.
