Would you....

I am not very good at romantic relationships and so i would be scared to take the chance. However, I give my everything to my friends and family and so I have very good relationships with them and so if I really was good friends with the guy I would not date him because I know that I suck at relationships and so I wouldn't want to ruin our friendship due to my horrible dating past.

This actually happened to me, thowell, a long time ago, and we ended up getting married! The marriage was a disaster that ended in divorce eventually, but we had one child together. We feuded for a few years, but I am happy to say that cooler heads finally prevailed and we once again became good friends, and still are to this day.

hi Terry I did so, we knew each other from church. The first time he asked for a date I said no cause he is a few years younger than me and I didnt really feel comfortable with it. But I realized I had made a mistake with declining him a date and some time later, about a year later I think he said he had thought it through and he asked me again, not knowing I had hoped for a second chance.
Unfortunately it didnt work out with the two of us though I thought not much could go wrong......... but I would still recommend to give it a try and date a good or even best friend.

That is a hard question to answer. While best friends do know each other very well, I wonder if dating might not work out. Then again I have known people who were best friends and married happily. Not so for me.

I have dated my best friend..:) It was about 15 years ago and i met a guy and he and i clicked from day one,we had been best friends for years and we started dating..and we dated for a long long time and in the end we just didnt work as a couple..now years and years later we are just as close as we were back then and always will be..I do love him with all my heart..just not in love with him.:)

When you say "date" is that a euphemism for "get romantic with"? I have a best friend who is male and the reason it has not turned into anything else is because he does not have a romantic bone in his body. We see each other every day unless I am visiting my Dad and that's often a relief to be away from him for a day or two.

Yes, he is my best friend. He drives me insane but I still think the world of him. The more I know him the less I respect and admire him but he has intellectual development issues so that's a tough call. Things are fine just the way they are...this relationship ain't going anywhere else anytime in this lifetime.
