Who would you choose to meet? Why would you want to meet that person? What do you hope that you could learn from him or her?

1. us2owls (2036) | 5 months ago | If I could meet a historical person at the present time I think my choice would be Abraham Lincoln and I would get his opinion of our current President and the Senate and the House. It would be interesting to me to hear his opinion because I think a lot of our government at present is a shambles.

zoey7879 (1252) | 5 months ago | I think that if our forefathers could see the state of the world today somehow, they'd be turning over in their graves before coming to haunt us.
Or maybe they'd just say to hell with that and leave us to wallow in what we've allowed to become...:s

3. vandana7 (1823) | 5 months ago | Hey zoey7879 there was a movie - I dont recollect the name, in which a Samurai who fell in some snow clad mountain and was preserved through natural cryogenics comes alive and has all sorts of hilarious things to do. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and actually u end up feeling sorry for the guy. Now, whom would u like to trouble like that??? Well, I'd like to bring back Gautam Buddha. We desperately need people like him to spread peace.:-)

4. sblossom (1384) | 5 months ago | If I can meet a historian person I want to meet one of the world's most eminent scientists, Charles Robert Darwin. This year is the 200th anniversary of the birth of him and is also the 150th anniversary of the publication of his groundbreaking book, On the Origins of Species, which continues to be influential to this day.
This March I visited Down House in which Charles Darwin and his family lived here for forty years during which time Darwin wrote the majority of his major works including the most famous, On the Origin of Species, that shocked and changed the whole world.
If I met him I will ask him how he found the secret of Human being and what will he do for gene science development?

5. cyrus123 (1867) | 5 months ago | I never have given this any thought much but I guess it would have to be Amelia Earhart. She seemed very independent and I've always considered myself pretty independent. I probably could have learned a lot from her. I would also have liked to have met Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. I'm supposed to be kin to one or both of them on mother's side of the family. I never have done a genealogy to find out which one it was and how we're related exactly. I've been saying this for a long time but I plan to do one one of these days. I know it takes a lot of time. That's why I haven't done it yet. Kathy.

6. Sandra1952 (1785) | 5 months ago | I'd like to meet Shakespeare. I love his drama, and I'd like to know where he got his inspiration. I'd also like to know what he thinks of the world today, and if he considers himself as an observer of the human condition or just a jobbing actor and playwright.

7. thea09 (5010) | 5 months ago | Hi zoey, this varies on the day but today I'd rather fancy meeting Henri Cherriac and listening to his adventures first hand. I would love to travel back with him to some of the places he was incarcerated in and see what changes there are today, and how he remembers them. He lived a remarkable life and told a wonderful tale in his books, especially the acclaimed 'Pappilpon'.
