| | For its the bus is safer than train. Accident on bus very minimal if the driver is very careful in driving and check first his bus before getting out from the parking lot. Train is to fast and its hard to control. | | | | | | |

| | I always like to travel by bus but whenever I have the chance I also use the train. And that is because, I think there should be variation so that you can enjoy a lot of things including the different modes of transportation. Happy MyLotting! | | | | | | |

| | I don't know about your country but we've had several fatal train wrecks here caused by the drivers texting on their cell phones so I don't trust trains--not that we have any where I live, they tore up the tracks in the 60's and are now wanting to lay more and sorry they destroyed them. Buses are pretty safe, though, and you have the advantage of a very large vehicle if struck by a car. | | | | | | |

| | I think buses are more dangers and more likely to have an accident. I think this perspective that trains are more dangers or easier to get in an accident because when an accident does happen its a big one (since its bigger than a bus and causes more damage) - more injuries will occur and so on. Whereas buses this happens to often that they dont broadcast it all over the news. Not as many or serious injuries occur. Over the past month we ve had 0 train injuries and accidents and 10 bus accidents or injuries. | | | | | | |

| | Before I moved I knew a lady that was traveling on the top deck of a bus. It was going up a steep hill. A digger came crashing into the bus. All the people on the top deck were terrified. I was lucky nobody was killed. I know in the area I live in now some of the bus drivers drive far too fast. I have known some accidents on them to happen. There have been a few train crashes in the past which have killed many people. Trains are usually safer than buses I think. | | | | | | |

| | It depends on country, but I think I would prefer bus over the train in US and train over the bus in Europe....I love trains in Europe with so many options to travel. | | | | | | |

| | I don't think one form of transport is safer than another. Yes there are train crashes or derailments but then we have more bus accidents than train here. There are many outside factors that contribute to accidents such as driver error, weather conditions, the erratic actions of another driver, kids putting something on the tracks that you can never say one form is safer than another. Plus there are many train and bus accidents that go unreported in the media as they are not 'sensational' enough to warrant reporting on. | | | | | | |

| | How do you mean safer? Air travel is the safest yet we have air crash. The most important thing is to ensure public transport are well maintained and that drivers drive carefully. The authorities should also ensure good road systems. Potholes must be quickly patched back and dangerous bends highlighted with luminous paints or signs. If everyone do their part well, modern transports systems can be safer all-round. | | | | | | |
