what does the color star mean in mylot

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question or should I say point me in the right direction. I as said I am new here and I am trying to find my way around mylot. I did not know where to find that info. Thank you again and happy mylotting from your fellow mylotter.

Nearly everything that newcomers ask is covered in the FAQs, so there's really no need for a long winded response to this kind of question.

The other section you should definitely read is the Guidelines http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx and you might also, of course, read the Terms. You should know that MyLot are usually very assiduous in deleting anything that goes against the Guidelines and you won't get any notification because, when you signed up, you checked a box to say that you had read them (well, you did, of course, didn't you? )

Links to most of the things you need to know are at the bottom of every page (yes, I know ... it ought to be possible to find them in a slightly more prominent position but once you know they're there, it's easy enough to find them when you need them.
