Why Did Eve Blame the Serpent? |
| |
| I'm sure the serpent didn't really say anything, and that she just blamed him because he gave her a bad example to follow. And like all women, she just went and broke the rules, invited Adam into it, but regretted her enjoyment later. Why do all women do this to us men (invite us in, and regret it later)? | | | | | |

| | Actually it was not just the serpent, it was Satan who either entered into the serpent or took the form of the serpent and as for Adam being so innocent, forget it. He could have been a man and told her, "God forbade us to eat the forbidden fruit," and tossed it out of her hand and threw it away. It was not about s*x, it was that Satan told Eve to doubt God. Adam was mainly to blame because God made him stronger and the major decision maker. He was like so many men nowadays, let the woman do it and blame it all on her. But the major one to blame was the serpent, i.e. Satan. He got Adam and Eve to think that they could be as wise as God Himself and know good and evil, that is to have the ability to do good or evil, but only God knows what really good is. | | | | | | |

| | Did Eve not know that the serpent was an animal? a pithy subject under her dominion? Did she not understand that--being 'flesh of Adam's flesh'--she had all the power that he did? That she was not a serpent, and thus--even if the serpent and all his family feasted on the forbidden fruit--IT WAS NOT PEOPLE-FOOD? And did Adam ever hear the serpent say anything? If not, then why did he suppose that it did say something? | | | |

| | Well as far as I knw, the bible claerly mentions that teh serpent did say and that there was some1 else behind the serpent which made it talk. And I dont think your statement applies for every woman or womankind. Im not sure if i have seen many women being decietful and regretful as many men I have seen. | | | | | | |

| | You're right; I'm blaming the women for the devil-servants they report to. What they do, they pass the plain truth to these 'managers,' and the 'managers'--in their weak mind-state--assume that something within that truth (if it was enjoyable to anyone other than the 'manager') had some kind of evil intention and--using the devil's assault tactic of Accusation--cast the curse upon the unknown. | | | |

| | We are going to blame Eve forever! But blame her for what? I don't judge. We could blame her for 'condemning all reasonable men to the death that reason inevitably leads to.' Or we could "blame" her for rightfully fulfilling her God-given duty as a beautiful distraction to keep man's mind too satisfied to consider whether she-and-life are really worth all the sweat-and-toil (because otherwise he might decide that it would be easier to rest as his body rots!) | | | |
