|
what will i get if i have some higher wattage of my power supply in my computer. Do it makes any sense if im running a 600 watts power supply or much bit lower 300 watts. Any help from you if you have any idea. I don't know if im right if i do use. Does it affect the electricity billing.

If it uses only 300 watts and you have a 600 watts Power supply your electric bill will reflect only 300 watts + the minimal consumption of that 600wPSU. Better check your components power consumption rating, having extra is just an added cost.

3. klone_2126 (625) | 5 months ago | it is like other myLotters said, you can use it if you use too many hardware in your computers like two hard disk drives, two device such as dvd combo & card reader, graphic card, sound card, network card, all your usb slot are full connected to other device such as web camera, external hard disk drive & many more.. it is good to use such big power if you are power user but if you only normal user just use the default ones..

riezen30 (596) | 5 months ago | Which will be the default one. I do use 600 watts with no graphics at all. Maybe i will try some lower wattage to see if this will help saving electricity

klone_2126 (625) | 5 months ago | i mean when you first buy the computer what is the default ones.. i think better you stick with the current power for future use.. who knows when you want to upgrade your computer someday..

4. ayukawasouhiko (247) | 5 months ago | Hi, 600 watts is so high, my elder PC with ATI 1950GT, E4600 over 2.7GHz, two harddisks and 300+ watts, it have run for two year, i have played many 3D games, any proble doesn't happen yet, 300 watts is enough, but if i upgraed to ATI HD4850 and third harddisk, i have to chang to new 400+ watts, HD4850 is good graphic card currently.
If your power supply is 600 watts, you need i7 940, HD4890 (high-performance, much cheaper than GeForce GTX285) and Raptor HDD in RAID5 at most. they cost much electricity and money.(laugh)
Enjoy mylot!

riezen30 (596) | 5 months ago | Thanks for that informative discussion. I would rather stick with my 600 watts power supply so if i would upgrade some part it would be better. Hope no effect with my electric bill. Thanks
