Can you live without rice? |
|
Filipinos are well-known people who loves to eat rice. They say that we Filipinos can't live without them. Do you agree? I know a lot of people who doesn't eat rice, those who live in other countries.
I am a Filipino, but I'm not very fond of eating rice. I can actually live without rice. I can eat bread or just plain meat and vegetables anytime. However, here in our place, we consider rice as the main food in a meal.
So, yes I can live without rice, but I still eat rice three times a day. How about you?

4. rosdimy (1880) | 4 months ago | The majority of people in South East Asia feel they need to eat rice everyday. Many feel that they become weaker if they do not consume rice. Most probably this is due to the mindset, a result of upbringing and psychological influence.
I can live without rice. This helped me to adapt to available food when I went to the UK. My parents taught my siblings and I not to rely on one staple food. As a result I am not choosy, as long as the food is permissible in my religion.

5. ucue2008 (891) | 4 months ago | Once, I thought that way too. I'm a Malay, from Malaysia, until my housemate said she does not want to eat rice because she wanted to diet, and I follow along and now, I can not eat rice for a few days. I was amazed because I never know that I can do it. People say that once you cutting down eating rice, you will be losing your weight, but unfortunately I do not feel that way. Happy Mylotting

6. gicolet (776) | 4 months ago | I like rice but yes i can still live without it. Pasta noodles, rice noodles, or bean noodles are actually considered equal substitute of steam white rice. Steam rice is never good without side dishes for me so i could go with a bread to toast without it. I can not eat steam rice 3x a day. That's just too much for me. Fruits for breakfast, rice and side dishes at lunch, and light dinner is what works best for me...plus snacks twice a day:)

7. lynnemg (3584) | 4 months ago | I eat rice, but not all that often, so, yes, I could easily live without it. I make only a few different meals that require rice as it is because rice is one of those things that my husband will not eat at all.
