Do you have frequent POWER CUT OFFS!!!

When I was staying in my last apartments, there were plenty of power cuts. It was a tough time. It is very hot in my place all throught the year and it is very difficult to sleep without air conditioner. I can adjust to an extent, but it was very difficult for my husband. We used to be without power for hours during night time. Now, we shifted to another place and not many power cuts here.

Power cut off is one of the very disturbed action will create lots of
problems and also you can find this problems only in Asian Countries.
Most of the countries in Europe never experienced this situation
unless if there is heavy wind or heavy rains or heavy storms, but
in general I never been experienced by this power cut off . When
I was at middle east countries, I have never been experienced from
this problems too, so according to my knowledge only in Asia
you have been experienced by this issue due to lack of power supply.

Most of the Asian Countries are effected by this power cut off due
to various reasons of power shortage and also over population. If
the governments has the power shortage then they can not able to
help on this issue unless if they have high source for the energy
sector, hope this problems will be solved when the governments
starts it's own energy productions, otherwise it is too difficult
to provide more facility to their peoples including power.

Yes, we too are facing this problem. Although all this started recently. When reliance have been given the tender of my area.

Well, all this may happen due to poer shortages. Yes power thefts are one reason. But wasting power is another. I am thinking of some ways to reduce my electricity bill.

Please every body suggest some way to decrease my electricity bill. Give me ideas to do so.?

Well, the situation is bad here because of the negligence of government in uttar pradesh and bihar. This happens every year, so a permanent solution should be worked out. But they seem to have no idea how to do that. In bihar and Uttar pradesh, river ganga flows, whose water never dries. Sometimes, its flood and the other times, its famine.

So, government should make use of the architects in the country to improve the situation for once and for all.

Yes, sometimes due to bad weather condition or typhoon. But now no typhoons so we don't have frequently power cut offs. They see to it that they can easily work for those who are causing power cut off. if there are need to fix they easily fix so that no body will be disturb especially the business were everyone are using electricity.

Don't wory. Be happy. This is a common problem. But friend, you have to admit it we have improve ourself. Last ten year back we have increase the production of electricity.But still it is sufficient. Do't break your heart. It will also solve. Let us come forward and try to sole this problem.Power cut is major problem. Don't worry.

Hello niship, we meet again.:-) How r u doing? Well, as to frequency of power cuts, the main cause of course is shortage of power. India has ample resources, which are not being utlized to the optimal level. If there are floods in West Bengal, there is draught in Andhra Pradesh. Its such a waste of water resources. I am sure there is a very valid reason for not linking our rivers, as was suggested by somebody a few years ago. In any event, many power generation units will become operational in a couple of years, and so we may see the last of power outages soon enough. But the power lines, coupled with climatic disturbances will continue to haunt us for some more time. Better times are in store for u.:-)

I am from Bihar and here continuous power makes news not power cut. Not with the hovering problem of drought the government has ordered power station not to give power in the night. So, there is no power after 10 PM. The development of an area depends a lot on the infrastructure development of which power is the base. Yet, in India no one is taking special interest in this. I was born in a small town where powercuts were a routine. There was this daily half hour compulsory power cut and occasional cut in electricity for hours sometimes it even stretching to days. But after I moved to a metro and that too a well planne dhousing colony, power cuts are rare. Even if it goes for 4-5hrs at a stretch at our neighbouring blocks, we are most of the time spared because finace minister and sportsminister live in the same block as ours. I reside in India and have power cuts everyday, we have cuts for two hours everyday which is announced officially besides that we have frequent unofficial cuts also. Every month a date is announced well in advance for the maintanence of electric lines and felling of trees,and is usually from morning 9am to 6pm in the evening. It is most difficult when the power goes during midnight or so and we are not able to sleep peacefully.

Not in my own country. If there will be a power cut, it will stated or announced. We don't get a surprise of power cut not unless there is a bad weather or storm. But here to where I stay now, well, it does have power cut but not that much.

However, when we are staying in Goa with my in-laws, then there is always a power cut. They really have a bad connection there and it will be bad for the electronic appliances since it continues to do on and off.

I said, if ever I wanted to have a house there, better buy a generator and a UPS as well because of power interruption. It is very annoying
