How much time do you send on make-up? |
|
s a man, I hardly spend more than a minute, but my wife and daughters spend a lot of time in front of the mirror. I can understand young women spending a lot of time in make-up, but married women? I find that most women spend a lot of time in front of the mirror, powdering their nose. What is the logic behind this other than attracting the opposite sex?

1. smileonstar (2361) | 5 months ago | Hello, I know some people will take their time in front of mirror... but not me tho. I am also a woman, and I spend about 15minutes the most to put make up on. I dont really do much cuz I dont like to powder myself like a clown. I think cuz we want to make sure we are looking great once we leave the house... no mess up and nothing wrong for other people to look. you know what I mean. As long as they look pretty to you, so you dont need to care.

If i didn't need the makeup i would be fine but i feel as if i do and it does make me feel better about myself all together. I don't have to worry about people seeing my scars on my face or the redness i have and i have used make up since i was little and love the fact that it does make me feel like a better person and a more well rounded person.

suchi60 (394) | 5 months ago | Makeup does bring confidence and beauty to a woman and there is nothing wrong in it. Its just that women tend to spend too much time in their makeup and this does worry their men at times. However, you have your reasons for making up and I accept that. Thanks for the response.

suchi60 (394) | 5 months ago | I guess as men, we don't have much problem in dressing up, but with women, its different. They spend quite a lot of time in front of their dressing table unmindful of the time they take in getting ready. Thanks for the reponse.

4. xichen7 (124) | 5 months ago | I often spend a little time on make up. As a man, I think there are not too many things I can do for my face, only shaving and washing. But for a woman, really need to so many things for their face, I think this is respect to others. And women always don't want themself become old quickly, so when they make-up they should protect their skin first. That's why they need so many time to make-up.

5. malpoa (549) | 5 months ago | No it is not always about being the center of attraction. It can also be about feeling better and more confident about yourself. My husband always takes more time than me in getting ready. He doesnt apply any make up, not even talcum powder, but he takes a lot of time setting his hair, looking from this angle, that angle, admiring himslef on the mirror...hihi sometimes i get annoyed with this but it is definitely not about seeking attracting . Women generally spend more time decking up, it is beacuse they dress up elaborately...wearing a saree is such a complicated process...for you guys it is always pulling up the trousers and buttoning the shirt...

suchi60 (394) | 5 months ago | I must admit I'm surprised to see the roles reversed in your case. The thought of women getting dressed maks me nervous, as a lot of time is spend waiting for them. I have to admire your husband for keeping you waiting for a change! Just kidding, no offence. But tell me, does he take that long to comb his hair? Thank you for your warm response.

malpoa (549) | 5 months ago | Ha ha I do not enjoy his getting ready a bit!!!He takes say 10 minutes to get ready on special occasions. While going to office also it is the same inspite of getting late at some occassions hi hi. On parties and all, I tell him in advance to come early...Here in my house both me and my mother in law get ready within minutes but all others including my father in law, bro in law and husband take more time. Both of us would sit on the sofa and yell for them to hurry...It is fun to watch that time hihi Some people have bad hair day daily hi hi and my husband is one among them:((

suchi60 (394) | 5 months ago | I think you are right when it comes to dressing up. Makeup does boost the confidence of a woman and also her attitude. But what baffles me is how do women have the patience to spend so much time in front of the mirror? And as you rightly said, too much of make up is also harmful to one's skin. Thank you for the response.

7. playapal (804) | 5 months ago | I have friends that take hours to get ready to go anywhere, but myself I only take about 5 -10 minutes to put my makeup on. My husband likes it that I take a few minutes to look good and I feel much better about myself if I have on light makeup.
