As most of you know here I recently gave birth to our 5th and last child a month ago yesterday to be exact. I had a difficult pregnancy and the delivery proved to be no different. I was on complete bedrest the last month so with that I gained a lot of extra weight. After being in labor for 2 days I had to have an emerencgy c section, then after that I had some complactions. Im fine now and healing and doing much better. Thankfully I have already lost 30 lbs. I have about another 60 to go to get to my goal. Ever since I've been home I've been walking a lot every day I would go for a walk and walk at least 1 mile. The past two weeks I was finally strong enough and able to handle getting on my bike I started out with 2 miles on my bike plus still walking my mile. I am now up to 5 miles on my bike plus still walking my mile. I noticed today when we was at the park with our church group, it was kind of funny but not really I had a pair of stretch blue jeans on and I was helping my youngest son carry his plate of food and we had a little ways to walk to where we was sitting which that didnt bother me I notice as I was walking it felt like my pants were starting to slip so I guess in a way that's a good sign Im losing more weight. I go back for my 6 week check up the 1st week of septmeber I am really curious how much more weight I have lost. I am gonna have to get new clothes and my husband said go ahead that I needed them and deserved them but I want to wait just a little while to lose a little more weight.

| 1. savvymel (27) | 5 months ago | Congratulations.I had an emergency C section as well and it defiantely takes a while to get your strength back. If you can work up to adding in some 30 second runs/jogging in with your walking that will go a long way. You burn many more calories and work more muscles running/jogging than riding a bike. And unlike what most people think you don't have to run the whole thing. Just quick little bursts will help. I am an avid watcher of the TV show the Biggest Loser. I think it is suppose to come on in a couple of weeks, it is really inspiring to me.

However, its been like a roller coaster ride for the past 2 years because I've been on and off my diet and I've lost and gained back 10-15 lbs. Now, i just lost about 15 lbs again and I'm starting to feel the drop in my size. I can now wear some of my old jeans and blouses but of course they're still not the way their suppose to look on me. But I think I'm slowly getting there. My problem really is that I seldom exercise. My only form of exercise is walking but only for 2-3 times a week during my walk to and from work or shopping. Other than that, I don't do much to sweat off my fats. I lack the drive I guess. As for you, you really deserve a reward after all that hard work. Kudos to you! Keep it up!

oh i know how our weight becomes an issue after we give birth...
but unlike you, i don't have the patience to walk, exercie go to gym . stuff like that..
i'd rather starve myself.............
i did gain a lot of weight the past months when I travelled, the food is just great..
now i have to shed them off by not eating so much.....
but exercise,,,,,,,no.........
yea i use my jeans too to know if I did lose soem weight...lolz

I have been working out as well...although it has been 19 months since my daughter was born but I am trying to firm up now what I have after losing all that weight!!

I am a nurse in a nursing home and just don't have the energy for extra exercise by the time I get home. The patients keep me hopping at work, just not enough to lose those few stubborn pounds. OK, it is more like 20 lbs. I need to start making better food choices, I guess, since I won't exercise more.
