Have you lost something while going out and how did you feel?

Thank you for the participation.You must have felt quite bad at that point of time but, nevertheless, you must have taken it as lesson to be more careful in fuTURE.I am very thankful,that I did not let go of the purse with my credit card in it.THat would have been a real hassle.

I went back to the market nearby to see if I had left it behind at the fruit shop Tamara. .It is most likely that I lost it in the autorickshaw.I don't feel guilty any longer but the niggling sense of wariness is there in me . Today, I had to go out for a blood test nad I was doubly careful.

Losing some small cash.a purse are even okay compared to losing id card, credit card/atm card and in thsi case you wife has lost her metro card and some documents.POor thing! She must have been terribly upset.And what did you do when she wailed at home?Did you give her words of comfort saying 'leave it' or mild advice about how people shpuld be careful while going out? If you had done it then I can well believe thta joke in mimpi's dreams forum.

Yes, when I reached home from my office, I came to know about the incident and apparently she was very upset. I comforted her and told her to be careful in future. There was no point in getting angry or annoyed, because what had to happen had happened and it could not have been 'redone' (I normally do not lose temper on suh incidents). Soon after reaching home, I drafted an FIR and we both went to Police Station to lodge FIR, because her office Identity card was lost and this must be informed to Police, so that it could not be misused.
If this incident had happened with me, she would have definitely thrashed me and gave me a long lecture telling me that "you are always careless and you are a absent minded fellow and you always do like this.[em]lol[/em]"

I can well understand how terrible you would have felt. You would have felt really miserable and I won't be surprised if you had even been in tears. I was yesterday; though the bag is not very costly, it was a useful and beautiful bag. We feel so guilty as to how we could have been so absorbed in something else with our purse being stolen right in front [literally]of our nose.And a fortnight's pay --this is really terrible.THis is more accentuated because you normally don't carry much.What to do? I finally pacify myself that it could have been worse and this is relatively insignificant[in my case].

I was in tears. My husband was working away at the time and I phoned him crying. He immediately thought something had happened to our daughter and was quite relieved when he heard my story. He made me see that there are worse things that can happen he said, "Can you imagine how much worse it would be if our baby had been hit by a car or something?" As soon as he made the comment, I dried my tears and felt thankful that all that was gone was just my purse and some cash. It was not a nice incident but it helped to put it in perspective.

That was sweet of your husband and all sensible husbands would tak that way if the loss is significant.And this is how they pacify the women too. When we think this way, then things definitely fall in perspective and these things are more serious than loss of money.[much more traumatic]

You poor thing! I feel sorry for you and it would almost become a phobia.To steal a pair of jeans// atrocious. Oh I am so sorry! This sentimental value can never be got back again. I too once lost a watch that was selected by my son.Unfortunatley it got stolen at home itself .

Then you would have felt guilty for having enjoyed yourself so much without paying due care to your things.It is perrible that people have to lift things at the slightest opportunity but the world is made up of all sorts of people.Sad indeed1

NO Sree .I was not absent minded .It was on the main road and the rickshaw man was right where the bus stop is.I got a bit nervous of delaying him and becasue he did not cooperate in offering me change for Rs50, I had to pick small change in the denomination of 1 and 2 for Rs 14 . In this process I got into a hurry because it was the main road. I had two bags + a handbag and this fabric bag must have slipped off my hand and fallen or I just don't know.I did not even have enough time to peep into the rickshaw and rushed out. Anyhow, it is destined to be with someone else.I am thankful that I did not lose the thousand in the handbag and my Atm card.

Your experience is a bad thing .I feel bad about having been careless enough to not have noticed the missing bag.Today, I went put and I took another bag with Zip and was doubly careful while checking my purse inside.As someone had rightly pointed out we can only take lessons from here and not worry too much.What is done cannot be undone.Thanks a lot for sharing.
