HOW do you SET you TIME DEVICE?

Yes, time watching and time-keeping have changed. No longer are we really looking at the wall clock or even our watch all the time. We looked at the time as shown on the computer and hand-phone as you rightly pointed out. However, when we are not on the computer or using a hand-phone, we will glance at our watch. Similarly, you would look at the clock on your dashboard while in a car.As the other clocks are still working fine, I cannot remember when was the last time I had to changed the batteries or to wind up my watch.

Hi hic, the only thing I can rely on is the watch on my wrist, everything else shows a different time due to the regular power cuts, even if only a minute each digital device will spring back to a different time. I find the telephone the most annoying as it will show missed calls at completely the wrong times. As for setting the time by the TV programme are you CRAZY, Greek TV works on Greek time which is whatever time it feels like.

Oh, mostly it definitely is a a mobile that i do tell the time, if its not working, i use the PC and adjust the time on the clock and so on...Well, i agree we can also tell the time by our favorite TV programs.

Hehe well looking at the sun can tell us what time of the day is it. When it's sunset, a day is just starting. When the sun is too hot, it's noon and when the sky gets dimmer then that would tell it's night time. I believe this is also a way to appreciate nature.

But how I set my time device? I just use my cellphone. It alarms every 6 in the morning and that means it's the start of a day for me. I also have a clock that I always check every once in a while.

My grandpa taught us to tell time by the sun so if my devices fail I always know what time it is--except if it's cloudy! Then I listen the nature's activity and estimate the time.

I don't have a clock on my microwave, it's a very cheap model and I unplug it when I'm not using it to save electricity charges. Same with the toaster and everything else I'm not using at the time.

The only time i set a timer is when i'm cooking or actually baking. I have 3 clocks that run on batteries so can keep up w/the time that way. I very seldom notice the time on my pc.

usually wehn power comes back on comp. has the right time then I set the others in the house!

Well unless one stops due to a power failure or a dead battery, everything gets set when we change to daylight savings time and back to standard time.

I don't really live by time, but only to find out when my favourite tv programme is on, othere then that i don't bother with time, but my hubby lets me know when he tells me it 1.00 lunch time and when will it be ready, lol!

Hi hiccup! That is a good point! With all those clocks that
are set and with some of them that indeed set themselves,
but what if they all go out at the same time if the power
does go out? Well, then the one that is on my wrist better
be right, or the one on my cell phone had better be correct!
Somewhere there has to be one clock that is still ticking that
has the correct time that isn't plugged into the electricity!
Or is there? I sure hope so! I usually can pretty much tell
the time without looking at my watch or a clock, but just to
be completely sure I do look at them so I am always on time!
I don't bother to set the clock on the microwave and on some
of the other appliances! How many clocks do we really need
now?
