What can you say about this new. the last victim was from UK. when the iphone he was holding and watching just exploded right on his face sending those broken little glasses onto his face, hitting one of his eye causing injury. I was planning to save more money to buy this gadget. BUt hearing his news getting more common every day, i just will gonna think it through if it is still safe to buy and use these gadgets. i just feel that it is not worth it risking my health over these things. even if they paid back the money i paid for that item that will not compensate me for the damage to my body.

Maybe the gadget is still plugged in the electric socket and was charging when the user tried to use it? That can be a more plausible explanation.
I don't think a gadget would just explode if it's not connected to any electric source.
I refrain from using my mobile phone and ipod when they are still charging because there is always that danger.

the man was on his work on a mall or somewhere in UK. it was not plugged on any socket. maybe he was listening on his spare time when it just exploded.
many random incident occured in different places that these iphones exploded. and even a kid was injured also on his one eye.
still iphone is claiming that these are still isolated incidents. but who would like to buy or use when you can't be sure that your iphone will not be one of those isolated incidents to be on record. i will not want to take risk but still those gadgets has great appeal knowing some people are bragging about having them on their possession. it is like a big In thing now to have one. but i understand cause they are really gorgeous to hold and to use. they have great features.

Hmmm, could it be possible that the gadgets are fake? I've seen a lot of iphone and ipod look-a-likes that really look like the real things. They're mass-produced in China and obviously did not pass strict quality control. Sometimes, people can be duped into buying fakes because they just didn't know how to tell the difference.
Unless Apple really has some glitches on their gadgets, they should investigate further about this and, if proven true, issue a recall of their defective products.
But so far, my original ipod shuffle (hubby won it in a contest by Apple store more than 3 years ago) and my brother-in-law's iphone are perfectly working fine.

since it is in the news and apple admitted it is just some glitches it is surely not fake gadgets. they are the real ipods and iphones from the real manufacturers that have those glitches and have exploded. it is the iphone 3g that has the most incidents of explosion. but how they will solve and correct the problem is yet to be known.

YIKES! I hadn't heard about this. That's awful and so hard to believe. You're right, you spend so much money on these items, they certainly shouldn't be exploding! Luckily I only have an Ipod shuffle and I really don't use it all that often. So it rarely over heats.
