What style cell phone is good for an older person?

Hi there, well same problem here my mother have phone also gave by my sister. But the problem is that its hard for her to learn how use it so she can read our messages to her. So we just teach her how to accept call but still hard for her Maybe there is phone that she can use comfortable, so sorry i will not suggest anything but i am looking for that phone also so my mother will be familiarize with mobile phone, any comments on your discussion would be a great help for me as well, keep on mylotting

A nice simple, decent, and cheap phone you can buy is a Samsung SGH-A737 because you can make the font and numbers better and has a good size screen.

Maybe the old school one? 3310? lol, I know it's like face out already, but for mom's and dad's. They don't really care about the features and the technology. You think they will play mp3s? Capture every single moment, play games or having fun with application? they just want it to communicate.^_~ Nokia phone is the best for them for it is most use brand^_^

when I was growing up we had a wooden phone screwed onto the wall. Our ring was 4 long and 2 short, and there were nine people on our line. We could call anyone on the line anytime, and talk. if there was an emergency we rang one very long ring and everyone on the line picked up and asked what they could do to help. People looked after each other in those days. This phone had no numbers at all. All you had to do was hold the receiver to your ear to make sure no one else was using the line. then ring the number. If you wanted to make a long distance call you called the operator and she would connect you. Life was much simpler at that time.

I am 61, and I bought an LG enVTouch, and I really like it, but the keys are small, but it does have a qwerty keyboard and that is why I bought it for texting as my friend and I are just now staring to text back and forth. We are having the best time too, and who would have thaought that 2 granny's would text. I guess we aren't all that old, but from a kid's standpoint, we probably are as teenagers are the ones that text and not grannys. Anyway, I don't know how old your mom is, but you could think fo maybe getting her a texting phone if she likes to do that. Have a good day, and happy mylotting.
