What are you thankful for today?

My stroke mostly hurt my speech, thought process, and writing which was already bad.
I needed all those abilities to do my work as I had to test children before placing them in Special Education. I pretty much have to type every correspondence I might do so people can read it. My wife has to correct most of that.

I have read where if a person goes back to sleep after he first wakes up that he will sleep much harder. Sleeping in longer than normal can also cause a headache.
The day is only half gone where I am so if you are in the same time zone you still have a lot of day left to realize what you can be thankful for. After reading a advertisement on how to survive a terrorist attack I can be thankful that all the things described that could happen haven't happened.

I was always thankful for Fridays after school was out. Now every day is pretty much the same although I do have some days different. Tuesdays I go out for Toco soup, Wednesdays for the Toco John's specials, Mondays for a shopping trip to Alcos.
The year after I retired the schools started shutting down on Fridays. At least my daughter gets to enjoy that day off even though I never got to.

My fist stroke was 11 years ago. All it affected was my writing so I pretty much had to type everything out which was hard because I was always having to fill out forms. The next stroke was two years later when I was trying to mow very tall grass on a hot day. That affected more as my balance became bad as well as my speech, which cause reading out loud very difficult and I had to do testing which required me to read things out loud. That was about 8 years ago. Whenever I feel the same strange sensation coming over me I go get on my breather. I think most of my problem is in my neck. Anyway, I am glad I can take it easy now whenever I feel tired. The guy who took my place quit already.

I'm glad u are as well as u are. Having 2 strokes is really bad. U are lucky u don't have more damage than u do. Stress can really get to u, know u are glad to be out from under the job. New guy couldn't hack it, i guess. Hope your weekend is going well.

Just getting to work without a mishap is a wonder to behold.

Being thankful for what you don't have is a good thing these days with all the germs, and viruses that are going around. I will have to remember to add that to my list.

My wife says I will be bit by a shark on dry land before I ever win the big one. I mostly watch. I did know one lady personally who won the lottery and her life did not end up very well. I hope others have better luck with their money. I do like watching to see who wins and what happens to them after ward. AT my age watching the lottery is about as much excitement I can stand. Today, my wife wanted me to go with her and my daughter out to find an old gold mining town. We did that already once and it was enough excitement to last me for at least a year. I probably wouldn't be able to stand winning the big one.
