Have you ever researched your home town?

Inside Wyatt Earp's Home in Monmouth, Illinois - This is inside of Wyatt Earp's home where he was born in Monmouth, Illinois. I was born in Monmouth myself and found out about Wyatt Earp's home while doing research on my home town.

I found out things I didn't know about my home town while doing research for an article. It was really interesting finding about the history of the town, including famous people that were born there or lived there. I found out besides Wyatt Earp, Ronald Reagan lived in Monmouth breifly and also Richard Speck. If you don't remember who Richard Speck was, he was known for murdering 8 nurses in a hospital in Chicago. Do you have any famous people from your home town?

A few famous people were born in my hometown in Ohio. My next home town doesn't have too many famous people, but it is near Chicago, which has plenty. The town I've lived in for many years now is the birthplace of Frank Sinatra. It is the town where solider left the U.Sl for Europe in WWI. The movie On the Waterfront with Marlon Brando was filmed there. It is also said to be the real birthplace of baseball.

I haven't researched my home town (outskirts of London) but am interested in my present location in Cornwall (s.w. England). It's a beautiful part of the country originally built on tin mining and white clay production. The river opposite my house is called the White River after the clay. Things have changed though as these products can now be produced cheaper in other countries. Cornwall also claims to be a Celtic country in it's own right - but that's a long story!

No,there isnt anyone famous from our hometown. But there is some really good stuff about the town and how it was established and split many years ago and then it was once again joined tobgether by a marriage and a bridge.
