Do people beleive in rights and wrongs?

While you have suffered a lot in your life you are still fortunate to have your life. Having money is something that keeps you from being cold or hungry and you are very fortunate in that respect as well. There are no guarantees in life but everything you put out into the universe comes back to you in some shape or form. In order to be happy you merely have to make the decision that from today forward you will be happy and it will be so.

Happiness is something that is yours that no one can ever take away from you. It can be gratifying to lead a life of service but it must be done with a genuine desire to make the world a better place not to be rewarded for doing good things. You should make a list of all the things you have in life that you are grateful for and you will find a reason to be happy.

This may sound kinda weird and, in advance, I'll apologize for my philosophical bumbling..
When you were in the 7th grade, someone planted a seed in your heart. When you accepted to follow his words the seed grew and, in time, bore fruit which you shared with those who needed..
Now, of those you assisted, how many do you think got a seed from you? And the folks who saw you doing these things..How many of them may have received a seed from you? And, in time, will bear fruit as you did and do as you did and effect other folks as you did?
and on and on..
Now, how many folks in which you planted hope thru your assist and planted charity thru your action..how many of them may have been waiting for their 'pay-offs' on things they have done..Pay-offs that you, in part, provided thru your actions.
Do I believe in God? Of course I do. You prove it with the action of your beliefs.
Will I continue to believe? You bet I will because it is we who provide the ripple effect that proves He is there and that He does see and that He does care and that He does want to help..If we stop the ripple God will not cease, but our belief in Him will, and our belief in what and how He provides will cease and if there is no one to send out the ripple who then can receive it? No one.
Look at the world as it is today. Too many folks looking for harvest, too few planting seed..ok?

Sounds like you did the right things for the wrong reasons. You did good actions in order to be happy or achieve good results. But good actions should come from faith

Giving just to get always brings sad results. You will always think you deserve more. A better question is who do you want to be??? As far as happiness goes, happiness is no more than a choice only you can make. People who expect things or other people to make them happy never find it. I met a man once who was a homeless bum. He did nothing but ride train freight cars between cities. He would beg for food awhile in each city then move on. Guess what. He was HAPPY!!!

About your topic, I do not know if I myself believe in good and bad doings that results to having things in life because I am like you too, I have been a good person since someone told me like that but nothing happened it just keeps you away from being your true self. By the even though I am like this I do believe in god.

I do understand what you're saying I think - I have been through some similar feelings recently. I have believed in God and practised my faith since childhood and I would have said a lot of that time that I was absolutely sure about God. But after going through a few situations that felt a bit like 'one thing too many', I started to think 'is this all true?' or even when I did feel I still believed I thought' is God just playing some big joke on me?'

I Do still believe and I know a lot of my feelings are a combination of the health problems I've had and some overwhelming circumstances and I just became kind of burned out with everything. I found out even people with the strongest faith a susceptible to asking why, being worn out, etc.

What I think is that this is ok. I can yell at God. Hecan handle my moods and questions. And I hope in the end we get to look back and understand - and that you will see that actually you made such a worthwhile difference in the lives of those you helped. You may have changed the world just by hepling one person.

I try to live by the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you." I may not be rich, I may not be famous, I may have been through a lot in my life, but I still feel fortunate. I have a loving family, my husband loves me as well as my children, my children are all healthy and intelligent, I am able to continue to work, and I have the ability to put a smile on a complete strangers face with no more than a smile of my own. I am able to get out of bed each day, see my family, hear them speak, feel them when I hug them, smell the fresh air, and taste the food I am fortunate enough to have in my home. I do think that being a good person gets you much farther than being a bad person. I also think that a lot of it comes from our faith and the way we perceive things in our daily lives. Yes, I face problems just as everybody else, but I look at them as lessons to be learned and obstacles rather than burdens and shortcomings.
Yes, I do believe in God. I believe that He knows long before we do what we each need in life. I believe that He gives us obstacles in life that, when we do the right thing, help us to succeed.
I think that those people who live their lives dishonestly; taking advantage of others, stealing, manioulating, and only thinking of themselves are the ones, who, in the end grow to be miserable.

I was told the same thing as you as I grew up...it was drilled into me actually. I've suffered also and I have no money at all. In fact, as I type this...tomorrow is my daughters birthday and I have no money to get her anything and I have no money to buy food. I'm trying not to let it get to me. We've come this far...we'll be ok, I'm sure. I also treat people good and I give when I have little to spare etc. No...I don't get anything back from it in the material sense. What I get is the comfort of knowing I did the right thing or what felt right to me. I don't have that ache in the pit of my stomach that I would have if I didn't try to help or if I did things that I knew were wrong. I know that ache because I have done things that I know I shouldn't do....not a pleasant feeling. I think what you are doing is expecting too much. Your kindness is not coming from your heart maybe? I don't know...I'm guessing because of what you wrote. I have absolutely nothing in the way of material things and I've been ripped off and gone thru all sorts of things but I can honestly tell you that I'm basically a happy person. I love life. I don't expect it to be wonderful all the time which is good...cuz it isn't. It really bites sometimes...it's life.

Well, of course God exists!Now back to the topic, well cheating people does not help us in long term prospects.I have seen many big time cheaters having tough and bad times.Helping people and doing social services is good and wonderful.But it should not be done at a cost or risk upon your life.Besides you cannot expect gratitude for the service you did in this world.You might be rewarded by God in Heavens.But then I would prefer you to keep your expectations down.You weren't clear as what made/makes you sad.List down your problem and see what are the options to make you happy, and then decide the best option.And best of all think positive and be in good spirits.Have a great time!

Your inner self is the God for you. If you do something that, for instance, helps someone get one times meal and which in turn makes you happy, then its right. The gist of it is that you can never do anything out of selflessness. Some people think that they are doing right because thats what makes them happy, even though its wrong. Burglars think that they are doing right by stealing one's house because it gives them access to quick cash and which in turn makes them happy. But the definition of right-wrong keeps changing with your experiences. What seemed right at one time might seem the wrongest of all now.
