 Today I got away from this vicious RuneScape hacker. He had made four accounts and controlled each one and made something like an act in front of me. One pretended to be my best friend. Another pretended to be his worst enemy. But over all in the end I managed to find it out and secured my account in time.
Has this ever happened to you? And if it has how do you deal with hackers?

| 3. bonez899 (36) | 4 months ago |  I have been hacked before but luckly for me i am a greedy person and had to get the 10k from the stronghold of security which saved me because i made sure i remembered my recovery questions after that i've never been hacked again although my rl friends who play runscape have been hacked and then i found out that the person who hacked my friends was acctually one of my friends who faked he had been hacked so he wouldn't be blamed at all for hacking their accounts although in the end he gave back my friends accounts and faked that he had tricked the hacker and just barley got their accs back.

I had finished my membership, so my bank was full of "Members items" and I was planning on paying again to be able to use it (I had lots of quest items, too...) Then I got hacked, and when I finally got my password changed I saw that all the items were gone.

| 5. gamingworld (455) | 3 months ago |  yea lol i lost a lvl 60 cuz someone was gonna make it a mem. I knew it was gonna happen but i didnt care becuz it was a junk account. I havent been hacked or lost any accounts since then. The only way to lose an account is if you give someone too much information about yourself. Then they can either guess your pass or get through ur recovery I guess. Good job not getting hacked by the way.

One of them was supposed to be the friend of my best friend and the other was his worst enemies best friend. It really got weird at the end. I found out while I was talking to them both in their clan chat. I noticed how one couldn't talk at the same time with the other and I said it out loud. Then they both said the same thing at the same time. For me it was proof that they were controlled by one person. I guess the hacker got over confident. And another thing: when I said something to one of them in my private chat the other one knew what I had said. So he just got carried away. If he had remained calm I would have never found out. | |

I would say hacked really my world of warcraft account was hacked. I was playing it for about 3 months and someone hacked it. It was very annoying as I had put a lot of effort into the game and felt really angry that someone just took it away so easily. I stopped playing after that and don't intend on playing again I just end up loosing the plot if it happened again. Lucky you caught that guy out in time to best of luck in the future. | |
