You and Famous People? |
| |
| Have you ever written a letter to a famous person? If so, who was it and did they write back? I wrote one to Michael Jackson ( when I was about 12 years old ) and not too long ago I wrote one to Billy Connolly. Have you seen a famous person? Who? I have seen Jon English,Leann Rimes, The Wiggles, Angry Anderson and some other people but I can't think. Have you ever spoken to a famous person? LOL I haven't but my mum spoke to Jon English. Lucky. | | | | | |

| | Let's see..... when I was a kid I wrote to all the teen idols of the time, the Bay City Rollers, David Cassidy, etc. Never got a response. I've seen famous people before. I used to work at a department store in downtown Minneapolis, so it wasn't unusual to see a famous person stroll through. The ones I can remember offhand are Julie Andrews and Donny Osmond. It was really funny, I was outside smoking and this guy with a tour jacket for "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" walked by. I was admiring his umm... nice tight backside, when he turned to the side and I realized it was Donny Osmond. I darn near died. He had such a squeaky clean image that it felt somewhat illegal to check out his butt. I once had the mayor of Saint Paul take a break in the back room of another store I worked in. I offered some old guy coffee while I was camping who turned out to be Timothy Leary. I had no idea at the time lololol I've got several of my favorite authors as Facebook friends and have chatted and played games with some of them. | | | | | | |

| | Hello, I have never written to anyone famous but I have met Michael E. Knight the soap opera actor who had played Tad Martin for years. He was in my city and was at the mall. There was a long line to meet him so my sister and I stood in line after his talk to his fans. He hugged me and kissed my on top of my head. He even blew a kiss to my grandmother and waved at her while she was sitting out in the crowd. she was so pleased and she had to brag to her sister that Michael E. Knight did that. | | | | | | |

| | What the blazes has this got to do with Thinker? Surely it should be somewhere like People, or pop culture. As to the question, I spent much of my adult life as a professional performer, and as a result have met and on occasions spent considerable time with numerous people famous in their field, including Tom Paxton, Colin Hay, John Denver, and a large number of Australian icons. So what? They are just people. Lash | | | | | | |

| | Yeah I know it is in the wrong section but I couldn't find anything else like people or etc etc anyways. You are so lucky to have met John Denver. Yeah I know they are JUST people but still lucky. My dad met him and shook his hand. I think they and a LITTLE talk. I would have loved to have met him. Thank you so much for your time and answer. | | | |

| | Yeah exactly. At least seeing someone famous is a big thing and talking to them is a huge bonus. Lucky you to even see them. Sucks that famous people don't usually come in where you live in your town. Thank you so very very much for your time and for your answer. Hope you have a great day and Happy MyLotting! | | | |

| | When I was a kid I wrote to Tommy Pruett. I had a hugh crush on him. He was on that show Life Goes On. Don't ask, lol. He wasn't even that famous, you would have thought I would have got an autograph picture or something. Nothing! So not fair. I use twitter now, and have only got one response from a somewhat famous person. | | | | | | |
