In summer when you have the cloths on the outdoor cloth's line drying, you always hope the cockatoos do not come.
As they love to bite the cloth's pegs off and all your clean washing falls on the ground.

Trust me, tropical crows are worse. They come during the early mornings and take away what hangers their feet can get. They do this consistently. Soon you would have to buy another set of hangars. A friend of mind confided in me that she even pegs the hangars firmly down to a hanging pole but hangers with light clothing items like panties,socks and hankies just disappear with these crows, in spite of this.Smart crows,these!

We have "Bower Birds" they love BLUE, anything blue they will take to their nest.

Never grown out of the boy, The birds and animals are always an interest to me.

We have so many very special animals and birds here in Australia that can not be seen anywhere else in the World, (well yes some are in zoos over seas, but I think you know what I am saying)

I have always taken an interest in them and I learn a lot about them.

If COCKY sings or dances it's for two reasons, (one) He is happy or (two) He is very PEEVED OFF.

And you can see what mood he is in, he truly shows that in his actions.

We have the Mynah bird here also but he will not do any of those things,

How ever when I was in Vietnam the Mynah's (these look the same bird) did what you say, They were good mimics.

I have no Idea why the Asian one do this and the ones here in Australia do not.

I tried to get the Australian Mynahs to mimic but had no luck with them. DRATS.

We had the worst ever bush fires last year/early this year.

I do understand whats happening over there, I do hope you take much care.

I seem ARNIE the GOV say a warning to people, I hope they listen to ARNIE this time as he has seen what happens here in Australia and he can see whats happening over there.
Arnie has been be advised with the best information, I did see him on TV the other day speaking about the fire, he was on the ball and very correct in what he said.

The Sulphur Crested Cockatoo can live to 60/80 years, so as a Child getting one as a gift/pet it will most like live longer than you.

Many old people will pass their pet Cockatoo onto their Grand Children.

As for keeping them in the house, not a good place as they do tend to be messy.
And do need a lot of space to spread those wings of theirs,
