The "volks" tradition/expeience say that a round-flat belly is related to a girl and one "sharp side of egg" like is about a boy. Some time a go there was a mith-buster or similar about that with several "determinate the kid's gender" methods (except the medical using rays) and were not quite reliable, yet volks relate to this things from ages ..

As you describe, there should be me betting is a girl, but I'm a fan of being against odds:-) so I say: will be a boy or twins, birthdate on 1-2 january, more likely on 2 so that you could enjoy the new year party with your family:-)

M...... you have a reason to go with. But, one of your prediction goes wrong. I don't have twins inside. A sonography was done about a months ago and it's report reads that I have a single live fetus. So, about your prediction of twins is nullified.

Well, I don't think you h have to give dowry while wedding out your daughter... But some part of our country (one would say most part of our country) goes for dowry. No matter what the status of the groom, they doesn't bother to seek for some benefits from their in-laws. A doctor has a rate of anything between 10 to 50 million Indian Rupee. So, it's something horrible out here. One buys a groom rather than getting the knot tide.
So, 100% girl so far. If it is a boy as per my wishes, I am going to keep the reward to myself.

No, your right, we don't do the dowery thing either. In fact I may end up BEGGING someone to please marry off my daughters and get them the heck out of the house...lol.....kidding, just kidding, I love em and they can stay at home as long as they need to. But another serious question, is dowery something that is legaly mandated there? Or is it just by custom?

Dowry is not customary in our place. Rather it is punishable. But, the greediness of the people are the main reason behind it. Everyone is blind for money and by any way they want to get richer. But, there are still good people out here. The mentality needs to be changed sooner if people wants advancement.

Well, thanks for your prediction. I don't know why all of you had predicted a gal child out of me? Anyway, I am grateful that you had predicted something. Now if I give birth to a girl child the contest will be tough. Let us see what happens when. If it is a boy, the contest will be less as the percentage predicting boy is really very low. And for the date, one of my friends birthday is on 4th Jan. So, let me see if it collides with him...... happy mylotting.
