You've won! Here's how to claim you prizes!

I don't understand how people don't see that it is a scam. If you have to give them your details then obviously you never entered a raffle...and if you give them your details, it gives them a way to steal your identity and maybe open a credit card or something like that.

SAD!!!! Hard to believe that people believe they won a contest they never entered. Friend of mine fell for the same scam. She did not tell anyone until she had flown to Switzerland (her native home), cleaned out her bank account, and returned broke. They told her not to tell a soul because she might be asked to share some of her money with her friends. Well guess what, those friends she was holding out on had to bail her a... out cause she couldn't even pay her house note when she returned home. Then she sang like a canary. She wrote letters to the FBI, the FTC and some other agency. They added her name to the list of other compaintants. You should not have to pay money to collect money you won. Wake up people!!!!

I recently got a mail telling that i have won around 100000 GBP and they have asked me to send my details like as you have mentioned. I did not sent them any details as i knew that its totally a scam. I searched on google with some keywords and found that it was a scam I deleted the mail.
Why such scams are been made does any one know about if so share it with us so that we know why it is been made. And the intention can also be identified.

A CEO of ABS-CBN will call you regarding your prize? or officemate's prize? A CEO? are there any Prize coordinator, why CEO will call her or him? First of all is she join any contest on ABS CBN. Did the text include the name of the contest, and is there any contest like that in ABS. If I were her, I will reply back and says I am Charo Santos Concio, who are you to tell me I won a prize, what prize? Surely he or she will never reply. All of those person are racketers! and as I said swindlers! They don't have the difference in UK Lottery saying I won a prize of blah blah Euro, without me joining. Fool your face! Please warn her. And if you want we can report the sim number on NTC. Publish the number.

This is a scam. I too get mail from many ids. Even they mentioned that it is from microsoft saying you have won the prize you will get some $ 300000. Please send me the following detials to claim it. Like this usually i got mail. even they ask for our PAN Number, Driving license. PLEASE AWARE OF IT. Dont give such information to unknown persons.

What i do is i ask them to load me not to give them load. hahaha i just turn the scene that i am scamming to for them to stop... People like this really needs something from God.

well that's a very clear scam. and i dont think the CEO of the biggest company or any company will manage to text her to inform her that they won a certain price. besides it's not the job of a CEO to text or call anyone. they dont have time to do that. if so, then those from marketing or advertising dept will be the one to inform your friend and not through text but call. he supposed to check the internet first if the number is valid. he can go to abs-cbn website and check the contact us number and call to verify if the number she received is valid or not. i received a lot of emails, text or call they even used those popular name from television. but of course they will not be the one to contact us directly as theres a particular department who will do that if its really true. and better check the background of the person if its legitimate or a fake name including the number and add.

So far I never encounter any scam Message from my handphone.But all the while,I received plenty of emails about some winning lotteries,etc...I hate this kind of junk emails.I never bother to open up that kind of emails and just deleted them away without viewing the content. It is just a wasting time for me to browse this kind of nonsense things.
Be aware of any scam emails.Never give them any respond!!

That is ridiculous. I get these mailings all of the time. It drives me nuts how these people are getting our hopes up, only to be a scammer to us sometime down the road. Just delete those emails.
