Why the people change their relegion

I think alot of people change their religion because they were taught certain things growing up and they come to see things differently when they grow older. alot of people change their religion due to marriage also or happenings in the world today.

No this is not satisfaction that matters here. What is behind the curtain is a force that would prompt you to accept a new religion where there are lots of allurements but basically it is the same thing. The Missionary are after changing the religion of the people who believe in animistic way of life.

There is motive that people are forced to change their religion.

Hi,religion is purely based on CONFIDENCE on somebody.Sometimes if a person from one religion effected by several problems,he may think of other religion to come out by others suggestion.If the problems are resolved by some mean,he will change to new religion.

I think there are many reasons why people decided to change their religion. As you know, most of us grow up with the same religion as our parents, and sometimes this cause children actually just follow their parents religion until adult, without get the point "why I must have this religion", don't have strong beliefs. At this situation, if there's time for them to getting married, maybe his/her partners has different religion, and he will follow his partner's religion, change his religion, because from the very first he just follow his parents, not because he really believe in that religion.
Other reason is having more friends or surrounded with people who have different religion, follow his friends religion. There's possibility they are too independent, so they wanna try to feel being members of different religion. And jsut like what you've mentioned, not satisfy with their current religion.
I think you can't use frustated as the reason, because in life we must face problems, it's part of our life, whether we have religion or not.. Religion can brings hope and sometimes strength to face any problems in life

I can tell you why I changed my religion...more than once.

I was raised Lutheran but because of my mother's curiosity and thoughts, she switched to Roman Catholic. That was fine for me until I moved out of the house. I attended Catholic School but I didn't feel it helping me as they would have liked. I guess I felt smothered by the RCC so I dabbled in

Jehovah's Witness. That lasted all of one week because I couldn't see myself raising my children with the idea of not being able to celebrate their birthdays and other holidays. My ex hubby was

Mormon and I was ok with that...until I was told I HAD to take Temple prep classes. For the life of me, I couldn't understand why you had to be a certain level in order to go into the house of God. I can see being respectful and all...but classes? No way. My latest ex was on the verge of getting me to enjoy the

Judaism/Christianity and that one by far was the worse. It was there that I was taught that God is a harsh God and has favourites. It was then I was shown that as long as you dump all your spare money into the collection plate, God will overlook the fact that you don't follow his commandments and laws. Whatever.

So now...I'm a Seeker. It's not a religion, it's something I myself am looking for. My ideas of this universe and all of that which is surrounding it is complicated at best, but I'm sure there's something to it. Perhaps I'll find out one day.

Sometime people need a new thing to believe in, or they're disappointed with the old religion. Another reason may be the fact that if you fall in love and want to marry a religious person, you must have the same belief with him/her. But it's personal choice, so I'm not against it.

There are so many reasons why people change their religion.

1. For instance in India when the caste system existed Hindus of the lowest class would easily convert to Christianity because Jesus teaches that all people are equal and that we have an obligation to be our brother's keeper.

2. In Noth America people Westerners seldom have arranged marriages, so when a Jewish man falls in love with a gentile woman, the woman most likely will convert to Judaism because Jewish children must be born to a Jewish mother.
Likewise sometimes a Christian woman will convert to Islam if she wants to marry a Muslim and his family is going to be upset.

3. Sometimes people are born into a Catholic Christian family. As they grow up they start to question certain doctrines and rites and find that they no longer believe this so they seek other spiritual fullfilment. They might become Buddhists or seek out Sikhism or another Eastern religion.

4. Some Protestant Christians are born into Lutheran or Calvinist branches of protestants and marry someone from another another protestant denomination and either the husband or wife changes.

5. Sometimes people are frustrated and are longing for certainty and their particula branch of Christianity does no longer provide satisfactory answers and comfort for them so they will join a Baptist or other born again Christian type of religion.
6. I am sure there are many more reasons, other people will think of some.

I believe there are many reasons why people chage their religion, some people grow up with parents of a certain religion once they grow up they then decide they do not agree with that religion so they change some change by influence of their spouse, partners, friends family. I think some people expect miracles to happen and when things don't go their way they seek other religion for comfort.
