Because in the original comic series they don't have such thing happen. and harry is actually a quite important character which is peter parker best friend he have. if harry gone in the story, who else can be his best friend anymore? don't even have any. but as i know, spider man 4 is coming. i hope they don't make much different from the original series again. if not, that will be Not Original Anymore.
