High Heels...

Women who wear high heels like these don't realize it but they are ruining their feet. I can't wear them, myself, because I have tendinitis in my ankles. I also have sore knees and high heels would make them hurt worse. I don't know how they stand them, myself. The only shoes I wear with any type of heel is western boots when I ride a horse. The purpose of the heel is to keep your foot from going through the stirrup. If you should get thrown and your foot got caught in the stirrup, you could get drug and that's very dangerous! I read in one of my medical books several years ago that that was the only practical reason for heels. I have learned since I have been volunteering at the therapeutic riding center that they have break away stirrups now and they are a lot safer. Not all saddles have them but some do. Kathy.

i also like to see those pencil-heeled shoes in the stores but for anything,i wouldnot dare to wear them,one reason is myself and hubby are almost same height and i wouldnot want to look taller than him.

hi andalond you are saying what i have always wondered. How
on earth do women teeter around on those things and manage
not to fall on their faces. I never could get the hang
of wearing them and I tried as a young woman and my
feet felt just awful and I tottered around like crazy.
the backs of my legs hurt and i could barely walk in the
things. so I threw them in my closet and put on my flats'and neve
looked back at them. they hurt ones feet I think.
