Are you addicted to texting?

Am I addicted? No, I wouldn't say that I am addicted to texting, but I sure do text alot more than I ever though I would. It took me a long time to actually start to get into the whole texting fad. But, with the purchase of my new phone, I went ahead and got a contract that had texting included and I have a keyboard on this phone which make texting very easy. So now, instead of bothering someone with a phone-call when I just have a simple message to convey, I send a text instead.

You send 30-40 texts a day, and you thing you are addicted? Maybe the standards where you live are different than in my country, but here, 30 texts a day IS A LOT... Here, 40 texts a day is pretty much considered an addiction:) . I, myself, am not really addicted to texting, as to texting to a certain person, and even to her, i send no more than 40 messages MAX, when we talk via texting. Even so, this doesnt happen every day (Or my phone bill would be too large for me to handle;D ) ...but in the end, as i said, maybe just the standards are different here, and where you live, this isnt a problem to worry about;) .

I am not addicted to texting but yes I send and receive texts everyday. Sometimes when I am busy or people I know are working texting makes life much easier. I usually send maybe 7-10 a day and yes I get alot more then that because there is usually 6 or 8 people that text me just about everyday.

I am not addjcted, but I do like texting. My daughter and I text lots everyday. proabably way more than we should, but she lives over 2000 miles away from me, so this is the way we keep in contact with each other. We both have unlimited, becauser if we didnt, we would both go over our limit in one day. I know that is a lot, but at least we are keeping in touch, and where she lives, there are other people in the house, so she really deosn't want them to know what is being said, so texting eliminates that, as they don't look at her messages. I live by myself, so no one here to see mine. It is funny though, I never thought at my age, that I would ever like texting or would even do it, but since we both that texting phones, we figured we miths as well. The only thing, it does use the battery up more so I have to charge it almost everyday. I don't like that part of it, but for my daughter, I will not let it bother me. Well i looked at my account through my cell phone earlier today and i have unlimited texts and it said since September 5th (that's when my new days start)that i have used no minutes therefor everything i have used my cell phone for was texting and going on the internet.

I never seem to call anyone through my cell phone at all but noticed today that i did try can call someone, but that person does use texting too and i do that also with this person. I am usually texting on my cell phone rather than using it to call or talk to someone. Not sure where i would be if i didn't have texting capability on my cell phone, and if i didn't have unlimited texting it would be really bad.

I don't see myself addicted to texting because all my friends i do talk to use texting rather then calling and that is how we communicate.

I don't even know how to text!

I've heard that young people are getting bone disorders in their thumbs from all that texting. First it was video games, now texting. My son sends about 60-100 a day!

I don't text on a daily basis but when I do, there could be over 40 text messages a day. Sometimes when I'm bored in class and receive a text, I could have an entire text conversation with a friend

i don't think i'm addicted. i just send a reply if somebody sends me a message. but you're right, i also send more messages when i'm planning stuff with friends and family. on an average day, i send about 40-50 messages.:)

Yes I do. Here in my country, mobile service include unlimited texting. I just register and in a minute I will receive a confirmation that I can now used the unlimited texting. Because my friends and I have same mobile subscribed number, what we do for everyday is to text each other. We text about anything. We both complete the day of both by texting. So if she did not text me for an hour or two, I will be worried. lol.

In the past, I used to be addicted to texting. I used to send more than a hundred texts per day. Now, I don't text much anymore. I usually just send around 20 texts per day these past few months. I guess the novelty just wore off. Now, I just call the person right away on my cellphone rather than text him/her. But you're right. Receiving text from people especially friends brighten up one's day. I feel the same way.
