Do you respond/comment to comments more or Start Discussions more?

Haha hello again Mike...I swear I've seen you in almost every discussion I've made in Mylot.com lol.

I also like to start the odd discussion from time to time but its neveer really that odd lol. Just some random thought I have that I want to ask other people about.

That thing about being a good host is very true...I find myself annoyed sometimes when someone starts a discussion (a good discussion) and doesn't comment back at ANY of their responses. I guess it is easier to spread yourself out that way like you said...

Well I wouldn't know if you earn more money..I think its the same. Responding/commenting is only more fun if they comment back to your response lol. Its pretty frustrating when someone just starts discussions and never responds back to any of them.

User activity doesn't effect our pay as we only earn for what we post and not the posts of others.

If a discussion starter doesn't comment on responses then they won't earn from the discussion.

It is perfectly true that we earn for our own activity and not for the activity of others - they earn for that -

BUT

we are told in the FAQS that we earn for engaging others in interesting quality discussions. This sould be inside a response box or by starting a discussion and commenting. As long as we give users something to discuss and draw them back again and again, then we are discussing and the more we type the more we will be earning.

Well my discussions consist of random thoughts and an interest or two of mine. Not that interesting but not boring either.

Thats true...Everytime I make a discussion, I only get more responses until after I've left lol. Maybe more people are on at the time or something.

Well maybe few discussions for you is a lot for me. I hardly ever start discussions except on those few occasions. Total discussions started this month would be around 5 or something and thats already a lot for me lol.

Each month for the last three months I have started only 4. Lookslike it will be the same average this month too as so far I have started only one. We'll see as the days go by.

If you had some discussions here,I suggest you can promote them through conceivable different ways

I agree after you get a lot of responses it is hard to maintain especially if your racking up in the twenties range. Though I think I have enough time to respond to the majority of them.

I actually do try to stay away from starting discussions when I know I won't be able to respond to them...Its just pretty hard sometimes when you have a good idea and wish to discuss about it but it can't be helped sometimes.

Just control what we can control

Just like you, I also prefer to do comment, unless there is a very cute discussion which I definately think I can make to attract many people to join in.

I know ... its so hard for me to create good discussions that a lot of people would want to comment on.. maybe one of these days I'll have that lighbulb moment again.. but for now, i'll stick to commenting .. on other people's lightbulb moments.heehehe.

Well you should really give a lot of attention to your discussions since you should replay to almost all of your responses to show that you are being a good 'host' of your discussion. Sometimes (Like me) it ticks people off when all you do is start a discussion and you never respond back.

I thought that too when I started out. Well it still looks like you could learn more about mylot since your sorta just starting. Just make sure your posts follow the rules or it will be deleted...It says that somewhere on this site lol.

Yea i already know that from experience xD I hardly ever read the rules or terms of agreement so... Yea i posted and it got deleted:D turns out it was in violation of the rules o_O
