Chokingly all too common mistakes when filing for immigration |
|
I stumpled upon those highly common mistakes that people do when they file for immigration. This was about Canada Immigration, but I believe it is useful for any country. [ site credit: immigrationprofessionals.info]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unbelievably common mistakes! ----------------------------- Forgetting to sign some forms: It is more common than you would think, so always double-check all forms. Also children and dependants must sign their own name if they are adults.
Translation of documents: Do not assume officials will take the time to translate your documents, they won't! You have to provide a certified translation of each and every document written in a foreign language, such as birth certificates, mariage certificates, etc...
Incomplete applications: Missing forms can lead to delayed processing time or even to rejection of your application all-together. Always double-check all requirements and make sure nothing has been left behind.
Over-Trusting information online: Always beware of sources of the information you find online as well as the dates. Immigration forms and laws change very frequently. Always make sure you have valid and up to date information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. macoyv70 (177) | 4 months ago | Yes I think this applies to all immigration applicants. I have gone through this some years ago and never had any problems with my papers. If you are filling out forms just be careful to read and sign everything that need signing. Get advise from professional immigration officer, those certified by immigration agencies not just online or other sources, so you get the correct information about things you need to know.
ricknkae (960) | 4 months ago | NO it's not indeed, it is very long and so many forms to fill out, so many paper work to deal with ...and on top of that it is soooo slow
| |
|
|
mipen2006 (2450) | 4 months ago | You're dead right about the slowness, except when it comes to what they want. We had seven days only, to submit extra information, five working days. We had to get an extension as getting a chest X-ray on the information the government supplied was impossible in their time frame. I don't know how long the answer will take.
ricknkae (960) | 4 months ago | yes it is the problem indeed with onlien information, sometimes it is not always accurate and especially not up to date so it is always better to get advice from a professional or directly from a governmental website
