Have you tried Squidoo? It is a site for articles that they call lenses. You could join them, right a lens about your poetry, include a few of your poems and then you can use the amazon module to advertise your books. Once you do that go to the SquidU Forum at the very bottom of the page is where you will find the link and go under critique me and start getting others to view your lens. That may help get your books sold and they also pay royalties on anything bought on clickouts from your page. So you would get double paid:D

If you are willing to do clerical and administrative work then consider becoming a Virtual Assistant. If your rates are reasonable you can usually find a client or two quickly.

I have to admit that it is hard to find a genuine working from home job without having to pay for anything. Most businesses have to make profit and in order for them to do that, we have to pay a certain fee or purchase a product from them before we can work as an affiliate for that company. Some of the online businesses are scams as well and it can be very tempting to sign up with them straight away. So I guess the question is how do we know if an online business is genuine or a scam?

Unfortunately, there is no real way of telling if an online business is genuine or not because most of them are advertised through words of mouth. However, there are a few things that we can do to take precaution so that we are not a victim of these scam companies. The first thing that I would do is to find out more about that company, such as whether they have a website and customer service contact details. Usually, scam companies would not provide much information and most often they will try to be deceiving into luring people to join first et cetera.

From my personal experience, nothing is free and when there is a free online business out there, the pay is usually very low. Most of these companies are PTC or Pay To Click jobs and it can take a very long time to earn some income. Another successful online business is called GDI or Global Direct International but this is based on a pyramid scheme, which can be difficult in getting people to join but at least it is a genuine online business and the income can be quite decent! Earning anything between $300-500 per week is possible with GDI! Of couse as mentioned, nothing is free and you do have to pay a monthly fee of $10. Having said that, I think that this is a good online opportunity to begin with.
