Hi Jen, I have absolutely no idea what the appeal of McDonald's is as the food is most perfectly dreadful plus also very bad for ones health. Some people I believe do purchase it for speed as they are lucky enough not to have any taste buds to spoil so can rush in and buy themseleves a packet of rehydroginated potatoes for a very quick snack.

I like McDonalds for the taste - I like the texture, freshness, fries etc. I think they really try to give you quality - at least in NZ they do - and they use local produce which is why I like the taste. In Australia McDonalds tastes different, when my son comes home from living in Perth he loves the meat here and our McDonald burgers are slightly bigger than theirs so I think the taste makes a difference compared to other burger outlets.

Both. Sometimes you're in a hurry and it's so much easier and quicker to pull up to the drive thru and pick up something for dinner. At other times my husband and I get the urge for something...usually Taco Bell or Burger King. Yes, we like the taste of some fast food items.

It think it's both, the taste and the speed. People love to eat greasy, salty foods. If we can get it quickly then it is an added bonus.

I know it's not good for me, but I do like McDonald's. It's nice that it's quick and easy and relatively inexpensive, but if I didn't like the taste of the food that is served there, these things wouldn't matter in the least. There are plenty of other fast food places besides McDonald's that also offer the speed and convenience, but every once in a while it's a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder that I have a taste for.
