Hello,I am a chinese,too.But i am not a student for one year ago.
I think if I have a chance to study abroad,I will take it.Because it can open my eyes,and learn more knowledge.But there is one point,I will certainly come back.
Your teacher was right,but there are still many exceptions.It is up to where is a good development.

if i get that opportunity,i will certain go abroad,cause i can learn more outside,we have to admit technology in foreign countries is more advanced than here in China.
somepeople go outside and become a resident there,that's not abnormal at all.government there supply them better salary,better chance,when they come back to China,maybe they can't get those,so i can understand them.
but i really appreciate these people who contribute their knowledge and bloom for our lovely country,lol

I am also a Chinese sthdent.If I have a chance to study abroad,I would like to.Now I study in a university in Nanjing.My major subject is Bioengineering.In the areas of bioengineering,US and Janpan lead the world.In this society,if you aren't stronger than other,you will be eliminated by this society.I want to learn the andvanced technology aborad and surely come back to my country.China is highly developing in this field.That's all.This is my answer.

I am not Chinese but given the chance to study abroad i will surely grab the opportunity. Studying abroad gives you the chance to mingle with people of different culture. You will experience to share your knowledge and learn new things from people around you in return. It will also bring out the best in you because competition is tough, so you will find ways to level yourself with the best of the world. Our wold is becoming smaller and smaller each day. People are becoming more and more globally competitive, what should we do? Do our best to compete, enrich our knowledge and do things as promised. I don't see any wrong studying abroad...if i were you, do it--if it's what your heart says, do it, after all--we only live once.

Yes,there are more and more students choosing to get further education abroad.However some of them go abroad for the purpose of making money,because of the economy crisis,it's hard for one to find a preferred job,especially in China,so many people go abroad to see if the situation could get better while in another environment.Maybe it's better outside,but without real ability,you still can't have a good job either.
I planned to go Australia this summer,but something was wrong to the visa,so I have to stay here and learn something else.
